Hello guys!!
I have mobo EVGA X58 FTW. In last time i has some interest actions with motherboard. At first: "cold boot" every time it gets stuck on post code f3. Fan on CPU and videocard is rotated, but motherboard not boot up. Any reboot or other action, just gets stuck on post code f3.
Ok. I press on reset button, motherboard thinks some time 3-4s. and reboot and i get normal boot up in bios then to OS. When i reboot or start PC after not long time i has normal boot up. Motherboard can complete any stress tests with or not OC.
Second problem: long time i cannot get a normal "sleep mode" in windows 7. When the mobo go to "sleep mode" my fans to be continue to rotate. I read some tread on this forum and do some reconfiguration according to the instructions in BIOS settings of S1mode change to S3mode. Booting in windows and trying to use "sleep mode". All be fine: screen off, fans stops. I has think it be fine. But not, when i press any key on keyboard - any reaction, on mouse too. I press power button on mobo (little detail: light will be green not red, maybe this detail is important) and i gets stuck on post code f3....ok, i press on reboot and...i gets stuck on post code CF. Wow... then i press reset again and gets stuck on post code FF. Me help to power off my power supply from 3-5 sek. not Clear smok.

This action repeated during the last month. Motherboard boot up only after post code F3 and reset. And one more detail sound works only without native driver. When i trying to instal driver on realteck LC892 (R2.73) my sound can be lose in any time. Without driver sound works fine. Another components on mobo work properly (USB 2.0-3.0, Sata porst, all 6 dimms, and others) Oh and some time ago before start this fantastic action, some time i gets stuck on post code 25. But I separated out all components of the PC, and gathered them again and it's gone.

I thinks some components of chipset like South bridge be dies or other component. It is can be repair or not? I love this mobo but this problems....kills my mind.

No it is only a temporary solution. When i trying to do "cold" starts with pushed capacitor, i get stuck on post code F3 (as always time). But I have conducted some experiment: before the "cold start" I has warmed area near the condenser with women's hairdryer. And what do you think? I got a normal boot up without issues. I am full of thoughts: What could it be?

    Hi guys,

I resolved problem with mobo. My friend just replaced IСH chip (AF82801JIR). But he said me problem not in chip, problem in pinout for chip, they be cutoff from psv of mobo. Not all but 3 in this time. Friend said that seen one time more then 30 cutoff pinout from ICH10R in eVGA x58 mobos. Problem in hole of screws for heat-sink and also in quality of soldering pinout. If you has problem with sound or usb or sata and you not can resolved this problem with software, you must trying to remove chip  and see on pinout place (nearby hole for crews of heat-sink). The problem is that they are very close to the landing spot of the chip and deformed landing pad on the motherboard.
