Nitpicky and low hanging fruit, I know, but in the setup screen it says "Canel" instead of "Cancel".

So I noticed that the software didn't say there was an update so I manually updated anyways.  I can definitely say the weblink support WORKS which means that alone puts it a bit more on parity to other software for keyboards.  I have tested this with both Primary of two different keys and working with Primary/Secondary same key! NICE.  Thank you for this.

What exactly is a weblink and what do you use it for? I tried typing a URL into the box but that didn't work.

Honestly, never tried the url method.  I use it to open certain apps.  I figured it was meant for you to open say evga's website on your default browser, but also using it as an executable seemed to be just as effective for my needs.

    Hello

I bouth the z20 Keyboard a few days before and had some problems with it. Firmware 1.27 , UnleashRGB = 1.08
connected to a USB 3.0 Port on a MSi 550 tomahawk and the passthrough Port with a USB 2.0 Port.

    - Menu Lightnig Effect  - Custom . I have created my own colorset and i can't change the brightness with the key "cursor up" and "cursor down" as i did with the lightning effect presets. The brightness is always full power.

    - I have to run the software "UnleashRGB" to get a "lightning effect - Custom" profile "1-9" with  right colors.
If the software isn't running and i selected a "Profile 1-9" with custom settings , only the default "Rainbow color" will display.

    - Key Assignmnet. ist like Yes, no , but .... Oh!
I have tried it for one hour . Select a Key, Secondary set = calculator and push apply and the "secondary" filed was deleted.
Then i take a look at the "Macro Editor" with creating and deleting a Macro, going back to "key Assignment" and suddenly i could set the keys.
    I notice this behavoir twice.
Now i have a very high chance to set the key right without doing additionally things.

I have set the FN "R" to calculator but, one time the software displayed Primary = PG DN, Secondary = 7.
To be sure , i had the right setting on display, i have to call it twice.

    Well just wanted to repond...
    freeasabird
    - Menu Lightnig Effect  - Custom . I have created my own colorset and i can't change the brightness with the key "cursor up" and "cursor down" as i did with the lightning effect presets. The brightness is always full power.

If the software isn't running and i selected a "Profile 1-9" with custom settings , only the default "Rainbow color" will display.

So part 1 is potentially related to the next part.  It was stated somewhere that the custom itself cannot be saved to the firmware.  Premade stuff that is customized should save as normal (haven't tested, but never attempted to) as long as you make sure to hit that "apply" button.

I think you can just try using "opacity" to kinda lessen the brightness depending on the color.  But it is a fair point.

I don't know what to say here.  I only use the key assignment on the E1-5 and so far, the primary and secondary has worked now after this update.  Unless you mean if you close the software.

    Thankyou for the Answer.

With this anwser the Keyboard will go back to  the shop.

opacity and reduce brightness isn't the same. You lost much more color intensity with opacity. If your room has differnt illumination , you can't adjust it easy.

Keyassignment works without the software. But there is sometimes an error with the communication between Keyboard and UnleashRGB. You can't be sure if your programming will accepted or the programming is displayed right.

Not sure if the update broke my Z15, but I can't use F2 now. I often use F2 to rename files but hitting the key does nothing for me. I know F1, F4, F5 and F11 all work so it's definitely not some mode I've enabled that disables F2. Can someone help?

I've been adjusting the brightness without using the Unleash software by this combo: Fn + arrow up/down. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, try it out for yourself. Hope it helps.

I'd first try resetting the key assignments to the default.

I've reset it to default but it doesn't seem to work. Only F2 isn't working which is strange. This wasn't happening before I installed Unleash and updated the firmware.

Try to assign the F2 button to a new function (F3) to test if it's software or hardware. And then assign F3 button to F2 function. Test both out. If the F2 button works with the new function then at least you know the button isn't broken. If F3 works with the F2 function then it's not your computer bugging out the F2 function. I'd just reset the entire Unleash software in the Setup screen at this point.

If the F2 button still doesn't work, I'd contact support or something because it may be a hardware issue.

And FWIW, I just tested out my F2 button using the latest update and it works for renaming files.

Can anyone tell me the path, where my custom lighting is saved?

Reason is, i want to export the custom lighting to a different machine without dialing in everything again.

Can anyone tell me the path, where my custom lighting is saved?
Reason is, i want to export the custom lighting to a different machine without dialing in everything again.

I've tried looking for this before, but there's nothing that I've been able to find relating to stored settings in the Windows Registry, and nothing in C:\Program Files (x86), which is where the Unleash software is installed.

For me there is something in the following folder, that looks suspiciously like it might help.
    C:\Users\<YourLoginID>\AppData\Roaming\EVGA\Unleash RGB\ProfileManager

I have four folders there, which corresponds to the four custom color profiles I already had. So I created a new custom color profile, but did not see a new folder created, and all of the folder date stamps are at least three months old. Maybe they just relate to the different software versions I've had installed...?

So for this, I can only recommend just taking screenshots of the Unleash profile configurations, and recreate them on the other PC.

One thing to note that I've found in the past: If I unplug the keyboard from one USB 3.0 port on my PC and plug it into another, I get entirely different/older custom color profiles active on the keyboard. Which is WEIRD. Placing the KB back on the "correct" USB port brings back the other profiles. I have no idea what this means, since I've already been told by the staff here that the custom profiles are too big to fit on a $180 keyboard.

Anyway, good luck! Please come back and tell us what you find if you discover a better answer.

Hmm, too bad. In that case I might just dial in my setup.

I can confirm the weird behaviour when changing the USB Port.

I had a Corsair K70 Keyboard before, which also only safed "static profiles" on the build in memory, but more complicated effects also didn't load until the rgb software initialized.
