Hi,
I recently purchased this PSU used, and had a question in regards to the Sata/Peripheral outputs on the PSU. It has 3 ports labeled as SATA, and 1 as Peripheral. Am I able to use 4 Sata cables/4 Peripheral cables with this unit, or any combination of the two? Are the two ports interchangeable, or can I only use Sata cables with ports labeled Sata, and Peripheral with its corresponding.

Thanks for your time, Ginthas

Here is a pinout for the P2:

    Page can be found here:

You should double check with a multimeter (using continuity mode) each cable represents, and is connected, to the appropriate places on both the molex cable and sata cable to confirm they are proper.

    Sata pinout:

    Molex pinout:

Do note that the sata connectors have the 3.3v connected (which is what the extra 5th wire is for) that is not used on the molex, so plugging in a sata to the peripheral port will lose that 3.3v which may or may not be needed depending on what is connected. The molex connectors should work without issue in all 4.

As far as I can see, the keying for the PSU side connector is the same, so it should work without issue.

Jomama22 & Sajin, thanks for the responses, ill try out a molex cable connected to sata and vice versa, and if theres any issues Ill be sure to report back to potentially save someone else from the same problem.
