Here's what was on the latest driver update...
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti] Oculus Rift S/Pimax 8Kx is not detected. [3632289][3626116]
This is listed in the Open Issues section, but if you look a little above it, there's a discussion about limitations: 2.7.7 Crescent Bay and OSVR Headsets on Multiple GPU Systems
Crescent Bay and Open Source Virtual Reality development kit headsets do not work with
VRWorks Direct Mode in systems that contain GPUs from multiple vendors (for example,
NVIDIA and Intel). For such systems, please disable the Intel integrated graphics (from the
system BIOS) in order to use Direct Mode. Not sure if anyone's tried to manually disable the iGPU in BIOS to help with this.

My CPU had no iGPU so that won't be anything I could even try.

It appears they are aware of the problem. Lets see how long it takes them to fix. Their latest driver 516.40 and if you open the PDF (For complete release notes, see :), page 12 near the bottom, it lists [GeForce RTX 3090 Ti] HP Reverb G2/Oculus Rift S/Pimax 8Kx is not detected. as a known issue.

This is over 2 months now. A lot of people are already selling their video cards or headsets because they have given up. VR is one of the few reasons to truly need this level of GPU so it amazes me this was never tested by anyone.

With some parts of some countries basically shut down, it is not a good time to have problems which may require equipment replacement if nothing is being manufactured or shipped. Perhaps they know what is wrong but are waiting on some supplier to make an adjustment for some component or just waiting for some component to be supplied.
I have been waiting to purchase a Dell Monitor which is on a 2 month + 5 day slipping ETA.

Requiring a hardware fix would be an even bigger issue. I think most of us were still hoping for a software fix.
