I have a flashing striped at the left of my screen when running valley benchmark. Not impressed. It's done the same thing with every 6.x version of precision x Why are we being punished for buying EVGA video cards?

Inside the osd settings disable fcat overlay to stop the flashing line.

How do I post a screenshot of the precision X closing itself, YET AGAIN? It usually quietly shuts itself down in mid-game, with the fans, evidently turned off or on idle, so the card overheats, freezes the game and the computer and the neighbourhood and anyonje walking by, plus all the toasters and ovens in a five-block radius, or not, and I have to restart my computer to get back into Planetside 2. Precision X seems to be complete garbage. Why must it randomly quit in mid-game? I am going to have to reinstall the old version, YET AGAIN, because if I ran it as administrator and minimized it, I could game longer before it went into tantrum mode and required the whole computer be shut off to start it again. Does EVGA actually test the software? Or do they just Dilbert it out there and ignore problems? I have yet to find a version that did not crash the game. Oh, and Kboost requires you to uninstall your antivirus program to make it work, because, miraculously, my antivirus program is a "3D application." and some other dumb program I can't even locate on my computer. Stupid. Why does it suck so bad? Oh, and I tried Afterburner and it didn't work, either. ARe EVGA cards just incompatible with playing 3D games?

Another screenshot. Seriously. 3D applications? Do I have to reformat my hard drive to make Kboost work? Oh, and, shocker, it will NOT start with Windows 10. Color me surprised. I have the option to start it with windows on, but nooooooo

Just installed the new EVGA XOC 6.1.2 software. I haven't had the misfortune that others have had but here is what now doesn't work for me. I had been able to have GPU monitoring data appear on my Logitech G13 LED screen. That included FPS. In previous versions the FPS appeared fine and was quite accurate. Now the FPS appears at 0 and will not move off that number in any game or app I use. Minor, perhaps but still annoying. (EVGA GTX 760)

Been reading through this thread hoping to hear good things and maybe someone that could explain the OC scanner. In any of the modes, you basically set an offset based on the voltage? What about all the settings on the normal OCingmenu? Are these going to update to the "optimal" frequencies or what? Mine still shows my memory OC, but my GPU OC changed to 0 MHz offset. Is this the only "new" thing for Pascal owners? The way they advertised the new version of Precision X you'd think all cards would get the full voltage boost instead of just a few special models. From what Alexey (creator of RivaTuner) told me with regard to his available time for RivaTuner, he isn't developing anything related to GPUs/overclocking anymore (last we spoke a year and a half ago). Just about every single big GPU company is/was paying Alexey royalties to use RivaTuner's core code, which is what Precision-X, Afterburner, etc. either still are or were (RivaTuner that had been skinned and revised for years and years). I thought I read that EVGA was moving away from RT as the core code (Based on what Alexey said last I spoke to him around ~1.5 years ago this wasn't by their choice.) Here was my interview with him 4 years ago, that I published w/ videocardz.com Alexey: Currently RivaTuner core is powering MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision (X) only, I had partnership offers from other vendors, but I simply have no time to work on so many projects at the same time. ASUS tried to promote their new ASUS GPU Tweak as RivaTuner based due to some odd reason, but it is not true, this tool is their own development. In the past RivaTuner core also powered HIS iTurbo and RightMark CPU Clock utility. Licensing of RivaTuner core is based on per-card royalty fees, which means that the vendor is paying me a few cents from each CD with software they are selling with graphics cards. (end of quote)I think we are going to see some growing pains as EVGA tried/tries to move away from RivaTuner; such as many Precision Server instances running at once or not being able to type at boot. RivaTuner didn't even remotely support the OCing technology we now have on the hardware itself, so some of the problems are a given. However the stuff like lagging the keyboard, that is probably just a resource hogging bug that slipped through testing.

Well keep this in mind, prior to my interview with him, nobody had interviewed him for nearly 6 years! However, I think I did post this article here (EVGA Forums) the day it was published, but don't quote me on that, haha.

Would precision replace all of MSI Afterburner's functionality? The thing I liked in Afterburner was the integrated riva tuner statistic server that allowed me to easily configure many of the settings, among which was the very useful framerate limiter. Is there such functionality ion EVGA's tool?

Its way more limited and frankly it sucks. OSD never even works half the time. I would stay away. I find Precision easier to use and I do like it. But its just always been buggy as hell and continues to be that way to this day. Cant recommend it.

I have a 1080 FTW Hybrid and Windows 10 Pro. Installed the new Precision 6.1.2 and there are some weird graphical issues going on. It's showing MR C and empty boxes next to them and also an empty box under GPU Max Temp. Font sizes also seem wonked-up. So I uninstalled the 6.1.2 and went back to the 6.0.9 version. For the 1080 FTW Hybrid, the 6.0.9 seems to work just fine, and at least there are no graphical issues with that version.
