Quick question - Is the EVGA powerlink compatible with the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA GAMING GPU? I got the two referrals from the elite program (still pending approval for the power link) and then was lucky enough to actually checkout at best buy to get the XC3 Ultra which if the pictures are correct only has 2 power inputs.

I apologize if this was answered before but I didn't get any search results for powerlink.

Seems to work with the 3090 xc3 ultra hybrid, but it's a bit shorter than the 3090 xc3 ultra gaming, so it may/may not work. Best to ask evga.

In case anyone was wondering. This is what tech support told me:

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, the current Powerlink is not compatible with the 3090 XC3 Ultra Gaming, as the PCI-e connectors do not sit in the correct placement on the card to use the PowerLink. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out again.

    Regards,
    EVGA

This can be done, with a little rasp file and patience. The rails are long enough. That being said, the modification will void your warranty.

I think with how hard it is to get a 30 series card it's best to not file down a powerlink and try. Last thing anyone wants is to find they messed up the power to the card and burned it out.

it's funny that i ran across this thread.  was just thinking about how I was able to fit the powerlink onto my 3080 XC3 Ultra hybrid.  I decided to take it off though once I got some braided cables.

Is anyone aware of an aftermarket alternative to the PowerLink that will work with the 30 series? I really like the how the Powerlink works in terms of spreading the load across all cables as well as keeping the wiring nice and clean off the back of the card, instead of off the top. It's a shame that EVGA hasn't made updated versions for the 30 Series.
