Page and guide link gone.  Anyone have the XOC bios... just in case.

I bet it was taken down because members of Non-KPE Cards installed the XOC Bios and Bricked their Non-KPE Card.

Bluntly stating, that's dumb on their part, if it happened.  Regardless, people need to accept responsibility for mods.  It's pay to play just like racing.  Just speculating... wonder if other manufacturers complained that the KP is so damn good and has excellent resources for the average enthusiast.

Difference is... did anyone complain to the manufacturer or try to RMA knowing they voided warranty?  Stuff happens, but is this a big problem?

Maybe it is just being updated and was taken off line for the updates.

Um... Speculations are fun. Maybe NVIDIA was like "we need to shut down EVGA RTX KPE before we release super so it doesn't beat the new SUPER stack at everything"  Or maybe Sajin called EVGA and complained that he was knocked off the PortRoyal top 10 by a noob with a KPE 2080TI. Hehehe

A vbios backup complete can only be obtained from a programmer and not using any software to get it. It leaves out the first two bytes (1022) or it only copies 257 KB when the full version is 1024 KB
Also Sajin's link to recovering a bricked card is a great explanation, but don't get any ideas of altering the vbios and flashing as it will not work for the RTX and forward cards.

Lol. Nah. I had to see which one was the best. That one is the Skypro 3, but it seems flaky at times. The most reliable one is the 2. They both work without having to connect to a computer which is the best part!. Store all your files on the micro sd cards and you are good to go. I keep all my laptop bios and gpu bios files on there and just flash on the fly.

The LED Firmware, that is the current Version I am running.
I have been for a while it came with PX1 0.3.17.0
But I did just download CTv4 and I have not test it as of yet.
I am waiting for the Firmware to allow us to change the LED on the HC Water Bock. (White LED)

Re: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN is HERE! 2019/06/29 20:37:08 (permalink)
Dumb noob questions incoming with but I don't want to kill this card:

1) Is it ok to crank the gpu voltage slider in Precision X1 when just using the regular bios or OC bios? Is the card still running into voltage limits with Precision X1 so long as you're not using some custom unlocked bios and/or using the Classified overclocking tool?

2) Is a reference/default voltage of 1.405 on the memory too high or just about right for this card? The little overclock guide insert that came with the card states that 1.37V is the "reference" voltage for the memory for this card. Not sure why I'm all the way at 1.4V straight out of the box unless that is normal behavior.

3) Is it normal for there to be some asymmetry with the cooling for the memory? Memory bank 1 (left most one) will hit 60-65C under load and memory bank 2 will hit 55-60C, but memory bank 3 will sit around 53-57C. Is that fairly standard? I do run the VRM fan cranked at 100% which explains the cooling discrepancy, but just wondering if the chips hitting 65C+ is ok even with the hybrid cooler.

Welcome to the Forum
Yes on 1
But you can update the OC Bios with the LN2 Bios for Higher Fan Speeds. (This is Not the XOC Bios)
Should be ok on 2
Yes on 3, MEM1 Runs hotter on all our cards from what I have seen. 64°C is fine and I believe 80°C is even OK not that I would run 80°C
Now If you do use the Classified Tool now at Version 4 you want to keep the GPU Voltage Slider all the way to the Left and Not use it in PX1.
I would recommend also have the Radiator Fans Maxed as well remember that it is not only Cooler the GPU Die But also the Graphics Memory.

@Johnksss
I think that PortRoyal is just So heavily RTX bottlenecked that it shouldn't matter too much on CPU as long as you clock around 5.2

@Bcav
Also gsync can just look on if you don't force it off with profile inspector. Not convinced that it actually has a performance impact in the state that I am talking about.

Like on a fresh install -- NVIDIA Control Panel\Set up G-SYNC boxes unchecked and manage 3D settings\monitor technology = fixed refresh & 3d settings\
vsync = off unless you use profile inspector it still flags as on in 3Dmark.

Which is why a 9900K is good for this as you don't need ln2. While a 7980XE you would need to get to 5.2 ghz.

Side note:
I have my RP3B+ up and running with 7" screen. Just trying to sort out the rest..

Is it smart to buy directly from this site than via newegg? 🧐 I’m planning on buying 2 buy not together right away because the second one I’d like to get it when a new game is bundled with it. Or is this product limited ?

I prefer this site over newegg. Newegg changed ownership a couple years ago and imo not the same.

Do it. Icon 3 is dope. Though somehow I must be special cause I couldn't find a way to 8 point mount the sucker to the RTX KPE. Need to strip the card and re-evaluate. Not that 4 point has been an issue that I know of but..
