I bought a tub of Kingpin’s grease shortly after buying the KPE. Will let you guys know what I think of it as I’m out of Kryonaut. Not that I will load mine up anywhere near what you guys will.

So is anyone going to upload photos of the GPU with Vaseline applied, I would like to see

Yes, I'll take some when I do mine in a few hours. need to go get my new headlights and grill and drop them off at paint.

I have never had issues with condensation before but with a chiller I can surely see it happening

Yep, using a chiller. Just redid all the insulation on the tubing
Zeddivile
I use original formula original manufacturer.

Wondering if system would run cooler if I used the Vic's vapor rub edition?  lulz. Good ol original vasoline FTW.r

Seriously please no one try Vapor rub. That is just a silly thought.

Wifey walks in. "Why does your bench smell like eucalyptus ?"
"That's because its spa day for the KPE"

I see you got jokes! :D

Go ahead and test it on an inconspicuous corner and let us know what happens. :D

Yeah the Vic's vapor rub probably better yet, break up the congestion and let that video card breath

Because vaso stands for Vaseline and last i checked there was only one Vaseline company. Petroleum jelly is made by many.
Thanks. I will enjoy my card.

vaso Is what my Wife used that name for her Feminine Gel or vaso gel
I must be to old vaso stands for But I do know what Brasso is.
I guess I can see how well this works NIVEA Gel vaso speed 6
All the joking aside I did not know that vaso stands for Vaseline. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaseline
https://www.vaseline.com/us/en/search.html?q=vaso

Well now, that explains alot! :D
Nothing personal, but...ummm... I'm not about to be using any of those other products any time soon. I can just see it now. I'm on stage prepping my board and the camera zooms in and there goes a **** moment as everyone comes over to start making jokes and memes. :D

Seriously though...
Vaso generally falls under overclocking and prep work for anything going under cold or extreme cold as water does not stick. It's easy to coat a board or card and fairly easy to clean up after. If you have the right stripper (so to speak) to dissolve the vaso for rma.

Someone said something about voiding a warranty. This is actually helping you keep your warranty intact. One could also use different versions of conformal, but now that is a bit harder to clean as it runs into hard to clean spots. there are some other mixed chemicals that also work. One could use liquid tape as well, but vaso can be messy, but far better than most others. (personal opinion only)

It's still usable as the main block is on the other side.

Screw head seems fine, just a bad drilling and threading it looks to me like, the other screw that holds on the OLED is also extremely loose, i don't even have an allen wrench so small to fit these things.

Okay, was curious if they man handled it while tightening it.

Also the screws that go into the block are pretty damn small as well. One needs to be careful not to strip or break one....

Yeah i suppose a person could try and put a longer screw in or retap and thread the hole but shouldn't have to even be thinking of it.

That is unfortunate. Let’s hope this is not indicative of a wider reaching q/a issue. I honestly don’t know how businesses are successful with Chinese manufacturing. But many are... I’ve tried it a few times and it always ends up in good initial quality acceptable tolerances and as the tooling wears tolerances go out the window. Not to mention the running of your spec’d and patented product design manufacturing process at night for counterfeiters. I guess this why compartmentalizations of manufacturing and internal assembly is a thing...

And it probably helps to have a physical presence in the same hemisphere.

Bah humbug

In other news. I ordered one of the 2019 gpu pots from Kingpin cooling. Excited to get her on the KPE bench

What is wrong with the screw exactly? I can’t tell.

Regardless, this is totally unacceptable.

The metal bracket swings around and is not connected to the acrylic and screw appears to have blown out and chipped a piece of acrylic where the screw should set...

So whats the count at so far 3?

This is why I hate threaded acrylic and only stick with acetal for thread related of things.

TBH its not the only $300+ DOA brick i've ever purchased but for w/e reason this particular brick has my boxers in a bunch. Really annoying. I've never received a broken GPU block before acrylic or acetyl. IDK but I should probably listen to my conscience on this one and take some deep breaths and "fo get a bout it."  This makes me want to eat an ice cream sandwich and by sandwich I mean the entire box.

Well they require a ticket or some other nonsense in order fire off an RMA. Email sent.

Back to the important topic " Boxers in a bunch"

TBH they are boxer briefs not boxers "meUndies" to be specific.  So funny story I asked my wife for meUndies for Christmas 3 years in a row. Every year get some other brand in my stocking. Finally year 4  just before Christmas I ask wify why not the brand "meUndies?" "I have asked repeatedly for "meUndies"!" she looked at me with a confused look on her face and was like "oh I thought you just asking for underwear in a really weird way. Like in a pirate voice"

Found the chipped piece still on the screw in place on the bracket. If the screw was what broke we would like "stupid soft screws!" Followed by applying gorilla glue and moving on...
