CSM1O1 can anyone tell me how long i have to wait for the below please? 10G-P5-3888-KR registered on 12/10/2020 6:39:09 PM PT this is for a 3080 XC3 ultra hybrid card.
Predictions are difficult because we don't know the frequency or volume of the upcoming drops and we also have imperfect information about how many folks signed up and when. If I had to hazard a guess, I would estimate that you are probably five to eight weeks away from having your name called. Best of luck!

no 3898 hybrids this week via reply to jacob on twitter. i did have a question regarding the RGB plug ins. I currently only have one 5v rgb header on my mobo, i’m wondering if the card and fans have enough spots to daisy chain my current rgb plug together with it and still use the one rgb header? or will i have to get a splitter? i do have a 12v rgb splitter but i’m not sure if that will work as you can plug it in backwards, yikes. let me know if you guys have any insight

So I have question about the radiator and fan setup. I will use Aio for cpu and the aio for hybrid (2 radiators) which of the following setup will be better? 1 front intake push/pull for GPU, top exhaust for CPU 2 front intake push/pull for CPU, top exhaust for GPU (can't fit push/pull at the top)

option 2, as the gpu will be higher temps than the cpu. as Dabadger in this thread has said you always want to try to have the gpu rad as exhaust. i have to do intake on mine however. but others say their front intake keeps their gpu temps lower, but could raise cpu temps.

I've got my GPU as front intake and CPU aio as exhaust at the top. I've got a 5800x now and that thing runs HOT. I tried running both as exhaust but I did not really get much of a noticeable drop from my CPU temps and my GPU temps went up a few C.

imho, I would rather draw cool air through my radiators rather than hot/warm air. Both my aio’s, cpu and gpu, pull cool air in. I believe the 140mm exhaust fan in the back of the case is sufficient for removal of heat. Very pleased with temps on both.

That's going to be my next test. Changing the CPU AIO fans to intake at the top. The 280x is weird with no rear fan but I was able to get 2 60mm fans set up to exhaust and I'm curious to see if that'll be enough if I take the bottom intake fans out, leaving 4 120mm fans behind rads pulling air in.

this gives me some faith with my planned intake rad. right now my case keeps everything chilly! i’ve narrowed down the correct pressure and fan speeds. so when i get the hybrid installed. hopefully it doesn’t sway much!

It seems there are conflicting choices on this topic, if someone has test result it will be great. I'm using the 3080 hybrid intake in the front and air cooler for cpu now, and I observed that cpu chipset are around 60c, pch are around 70c after a long GPU load session. GPU is at 45c though. But I'm using a fractal design r5 with case fans at 600rpm. That's why I'm getting a p500a and arctic 280 to make it better.

This is highly dependent on what CPU is being used. The Ryzen 5000 series, for example, runs very hot even with an 280mm AIO my 5900x is between 60-75c while under load but my Asus Tuf 3080 sticks around 50-55c while gaming and about 35c idle.

Just adding my own anecdote regarding dual AIO setup (9900k and Aorus Waterforce 2080 Ti with 240mm AIO). CPU cooler is the H100i (240mm AIO), and with that set to intake with push/pull, CPU topped at 78C while gaming (Cyberpunk) and GPU around 70C. When I changed the CPU to exhaust and GPU to intake, I removed the fans from the GPU AIO so that it was only push as intake (so dropped the total number of fans in system from 7 to 5). Temps were roughly the same with the CPU again topping around 78C and the GPU around 70C, the main difference is that the system was nearly silent (the fans that come with the Aorus Waterforce 2080 Ti are loud and garbage). Boost clocks were roughly the same at 1935MHz (nothing is overclocked) for both configs.

Just a FYI, the only Hybrid dropping today (per Jacob) is the 3978 (3090 XC3 Ultra Hybrid). Best of luck if you are on the bubble for that sku (the current head of the queue is currently at 12:25:23 on 12/8).

I think what Vydark meant was that we are screaming, "take my money!" and yet EVGA (and other AIBs) cannot come close to keeping up with demand. It has never been so hard for consumers to spend hundreds of dollars on a piece of technology.

beyond frustrated with EVGA right now. I've now had 2 3090 ftw3 hyrbrids fail on me. Both did the exact same thing. This time I was playing GTA5 for about 5 minutes and the card decided to black screen, fans 100%, followed by a no post. Red light by the pcie connector. I've been watching these forums and this seems to be a common problem. I've literally owned hundreds of graphics cards(I have a problem) and I have never had so many issues. I have 6 pages of registered cards with EVGA. Maybe I'm just super unlucky .. PRoboably... I know for sure I'm super frustrated. AFter spending 60 dollars for saturday shipping the last time... lets hope they comp the shipping for me this time. I know I know.. first world problems... but still. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI: Each card has lasted a little less than a month.

I think demand is only half the story. I believe the other half is yields on 3080/3090. I think yields on these cards are so terrible NVIDIA can't fulfill half the demand. Of course there is no confirming this as yields are always a closely guarded secret.

Man, I signed up for the FTW3U Hybrid at 9:10:47 AM. Anyone have a guess at how long it'll be before I'm notified?
I also have a regular FTW3U notify coming up soon (and a Hybrid kit), but that's a much more expensive option, so my main idea is to skip the FTW3U, sell the Hybrid kit (anyone want to buy it? Haha), and wait for the Hybrid notify

It is currently sitting at 9:03:07 and I am 9:03:23 and there are 10+ people ahead of me who have not gotten notified so I am thinking you are (sadly) a ways out. Before the holiday break I believe they were jumping up by mid 20s or so.

I am hoping that this will be resolved in a few months since Nivdia signed a contract with Samsung in December to produce the Ampere chips for them. We just need to give them the time to set up and start producing these in larger quantities to fulfill demands.

ut Jacob mentioned that they were still in production even during their holiday break. Which tells me that there should be more quantity than normal. That then raises the question on why they are waiting so long to start sending it out, and how much faster the queue might move.

They may have been in production during the break but that doesn't mean they were producing that specific card. I would think if they had the stock they would have dropped it with the bigger drop on Wednesday. Based off of movement it looks like it was a decent amount of cards.
