I didn't have any issues when I signed up for the 3090 XC3 Ultra Hybrid earlier this week.  I guess today it was more popular because a couple things got added for notify.  I still hope I won't regret getting the 3090 XC3 Ultra Hybrid over the FTW3 model.  I don't think I will, just depends on my silicone lottery I guess.  I don't really overclock my cards anyway so less power and not having to run another cable in my case is nice. I just hope the card can run on the high end of average boost clocks while gaming with the power limit you get from this card over the FTW3.

Does anyone know if the hybrid kit is custom fit to the Air Cooled Cards? Cause the true hybrid cards are shorter and if the cooler doesn't fill the entire pcb it's going to look ugly. I may have to pass on my notification.

Just got my notify to order my hybrid kit for my 3080 FTW ultra. Just ordered, it was $120 plus taxes and shipping. Looking forward to put my card under water!!

I signed for the notify the moment it was available the first time. So I must have been one of the first ones.

I can't imagine they made a whole new set of PCB's just for the hybrid cards. That would not make any sense from a design engineering or supply chain standpoint.
 
IF you look at the backplate images, you can see the "air cooled" card is a little bigger because the fan shroud sticks out the back.

Thanks, i'd checked all the pages except the instructions. Figured I might as well order the thermal grease and reseat my old 1080 anyway while I'm at it.

I was hoping it would at least have a thermal pad, but the block looked straight copper in the images.

Haven't had an issue with the 20 series hybrid, I don't expect to have an issue with the upgraded version.

You're confusing orders with notifies. At least in my case, I was able to order the kit today because I signed for the notify when it first came out. Just today, I got my email from evga that I had one on hold for me and I had 8 hours to order, which I did. I think most people are getting the notify email today to order, which is in line with what Jacob said (ordering notify emails would come up mid December). No one has "ordered" a card or kit since November, all those were sign ups for the notify to order when available, which is today.

That's correct. I was able to order my Hybrid today but I was signed up for notification during the first round back in November. My guess is it will take the same time for those that just signed up today. At least you know there is a good chance you will get one in a month's time, assuming you were among the early ones who signed up today.

I just realized my old and in need of replacement badly 500R will not support the EVGA CLC280 and the Hybrid Kit.. Time to start hunting a new case I guess.
 
Any recommendations? Is that DG-76 any good? Tbh, have zero interest in RGB or Tempered Glass, as it's going under a desk and will be forgotten about.
