Y'all making it really hard to buy this when my email comes through :\

You aren't kidding. I just sold a Strix last night for MSRP+ $40 for driving 20 miles round trip. Strange cause the first guy had lowerish scores but he was able to bump it way up. You may need that classified tool. I think he had it.

I have a 3090 Aorus Xtreme with 14710 PR score.  I figured these would get into 15k easy but maybe im way off.

Man tbh Aorus Xtreme might be the hidden gem this generation. Evga has so much PR in the US that outshines other cards

And I think there was one posted (and sold) earlier for $5K...

I have called and filed a report on Ebay about this scalper price gouging this item for three times the MSRP.
They probably won't remove this auction, But at least this practice by this seller has been documented.

FYI they all show as EVGA because people are using the 500w BIOS.  Even my score shows as EVGA because i flashed the Aorus with the 500w EVGA BIOS so thats very misleading.

That's true. I do see a lot of cards with the ASUS BIOS at the top though.

Some of you are impatient! I’m trying to get a HC KPE because, over time, I can tweak the system and over the next year refine my OC’d components. I plan on using this system I’m building ($7,000+) for 7-10 year like I did with my current computer I dropped $5k on in 2011! Replaced ssd and video card during that time, but still. Better than a $2k machine every 2 years! Learned a lot, this time I’m going water chiller to push harder and last longer (all my fans are kaput at this point, gunk’d up).

*gasp* uhhh, I mean, yeah this card sucks... nobody should buy it! *chuckle*

When is the HC coming out?

Sometime between now and the heat-death of the universe, but most likely, mid-late December.

They need to get me my card soon before I blow all my money on upgrading the rest of the parts I don't need to upgrade

I had a:
i7-9700k
Corsair H115 Cooler
Asus z390-e Gaming board
32 gb G.Skill 3600CL16 Ram
3090 FTW3 Ultra
Corsair RMx850w
Corsair 570x Case

Well when i got on the kingpin list, I figured I should bump up the PSU so I grabbed a Corsair HX1200. Then I realized I can't fit both my CPU AIO and the KP AIO in my case.  So I ordered a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL.  Then Monday, there was a really good Cyber Monday Sale for a 10700kf and a MSI Z490 ACE board.  Wasn't planning on upgrading my CPU until 11th gen .. but for the price and since the Z490 ACE is PCIe 4.0 ready .. I went ahead and grabbed that and will just upgrade the processor to 11th gen in the spring if it pans out.  Figured at this point, I might as well upgrade the ram too and I grabbed some G.Skill TridentZ 4000CL15 Ram ... Well ... now that I'm sitting here thinking, I've basically rebuilt it completely and instead of selling off my old PC in parts .. I might as well just grab a new CPU cooler and I can sell the old one as a whole unit lol.

So EVGA Please get me my notification before I find a way to spend even more on what will likely be a very minor upgrade lol.

i7-10700kf @ 5.1
Corsair H150i Elite Capellix
MSI Z490 ACE
8gbx4 G.Skill TridentZ DDR 4000CL15
EVGA 3090 Kingpin
Corsair AX1200i
Lian Li O11 XL Dynamic

This scalper rage is beyond annoying at this point. From facebook to discord groups. Leave it alone. The complainers are worse than the scalpers. It's a free market, you can buy and sell things at whatever price you wish. Are you going to go report all the sporting goods, in demand exotic cars, etc for charging more than their msrp.  You can sell anything at any price, buyers can simply ignore it.  Never seen a group of people so immature and not with reality.

Scalping is utterly wrong and there is nothing wrong about being mad at those scalpers. GPUs are an entertainment product for most of us that’s why you get the mentality of “he bought it he can sell it for whatever price he wants” which is utterly wrong. What they are doing is artificially increasing the demand way beyond the supply to scam people who wants to get the product faster. As I said it’s an entertainment item that’s why you don’t see how harmful this practice is really. Imagine scalpers buying insulins from all pharmacies and hospitals can’t keep up with diabetes patients, so if they want to get their medicine they have to pay a scalper’s price which the scalper didn’t do anything to produce the medicine and he is only scamming a person that needs the product. But but but the scalper bought most of the medicines available by his own money, he should be able to sell it for whatever price he wants 😑

So scalping necessities is one thing and also potentially illegal. Scalping non essentials etc is a totally different ball game. Those who complain about scalping on a gpu, need more experience in other markets in for sure.

Scalping Broadway & concert tickets in NYC is illegal. Don't see how that's considered a necessity... although Broadway has been shut down for months.

The practice of ticket scalping isn't illegal in all states. Companies can legally resell tickets at any premium in nys. So the law of ticket scalping in ny is quite a mystery.  I live in NYC  and I have multiple microcenters here, every morning there are lines, about over a month ago I met a woman who camps at microcenter everyday at 6am apparently till 12pm when the store finishes inventory of shipments to buy GPUS, she then sells the gpus. She lost her job during Covid, and from what she told me she doesn't qualify for assistance. She's scalping the card to the buyer, but is her time standing in line something for nothing something that's free?  In this case we have someone who won with a mouse click. He paid for the product he can then proceed to set on fire, resale at his own cost. A lack of a KPE will not cuase harm to anyone and before we start bringing in medicine, safety items etc, we need to keep in perspective the product itself. You can't walk into a car dealer and say hey I want to buy this car at cost and get angry if they say no, they purchased the car from the manufacture and can place any mark up they want. This is no different.

This is getting out of hand....

And I think there was one posted (and sold) earlier for $5K...

I have called and filed a report on Ebay about this scalper price gouging this item for three times the MSRP.
They probably won't remove this auction, But at least this practice by this seller has been documented.

If this person is defending the dishonorable practice of price gouging then perhaps they are involved.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case.

MSRP

Manufacturer Suggested Retail Pricing... Its not illegal to disregard a manufacturers suggested retail pricing and its ultimately up to the consumer.

Most electronic manufacturers sell products at volume discount or "wholesale" cost again well below MSRP per unit...  The retailer / etailer is then typically incentivized to list products at MSRP or close to it in order to keep good standing and access to "discounted pricing" while allowed to profit the net margin between wholesale and MSRP.

This is the way business works.
Buy low and sell high.

Scalping sucks, its also the new normal.

What is illegal is a piece of the more successful bot apparatus.

DDOS'ing the ecommerce store in order to reset the ecommerce sessions and give the bots premium positions in the checkout que.

Now NVIDIA, EVGA and everyone else continues to spin that type of traffic as though it was "More legitimate traffic than the biggest black friday of all time"

that is nonsense. It literally covers up the actual illegal use of DDOS bot nets...

Anyway I would like to purchase a 3090 Kingpin at MSRP please.

I’ve always been in manufacturing and never considered making money by being a dead weight loss to the economy. I earn enough to to buy a KPE without feeling the need to resell at a higher price. I can understand what draws people to the hustle culture of scalping when they lack education or transferrable skills. Seems like there are more reliable, sustainable ways to earn money. Then again you don’t get rich working for a company, so maybe that’s part of the draw.

If you really want to play witch hunt, it’s clear from the Ebay ad that the seller’s name is Micah and he lives in Oxnard CA. Do any of the first 10 people on the que have this in their profiles?

In 2007 when the newest version of Toyota's FJ series released, it was in such high demand that even the largest volume dealer of Toyota vehicles in the US marked up the sticker price USD $10K over MSRP.

I called a family friend (fleet mgr) and was advised to wait until 2008 at which point was able to purchase a new FJ for $2K under MSRP.  Ugh they did take the all weather mats out before delivery though GRRRRR.....

Markets and market forces can be fickle, ridiculous and sometimes borderline insanity.

There is nothing illegal about scalping consumer luxury items lol, just people upset they can’t get a card at MSRP. Sounds like people want government quotas/regulations on buying and reselling
