phroze Question to those that have received a replacement card from the program. Is the part number 24G-P5-3982-B2 or is it 24G-P5-3987-KR? Originally when I started the RMA it said product out 24G-P5-3982-B2. Now that my replacement has shipped it says product out 24G-P5-3987-KR.
Part Number: 24G-P5-3987-KR Part Desc: EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING, 24G-P5-39 Serial 2114XXXXXXXXXXXX

Cool, thanks. They must have used that part number as a placeholder for the program.

I cannot get passed 456W on the new RMA card. 20W less than the original card i returned. Sorry for the phone pic, i swapped out the KPE for this card to do some offline benching.

Strange. I even saw over 450 watts on the StOCK OC BIOS on my card. If there wasn't this high PCIe slot power draw on my card...

EVGA_JacobF The replacement card may only improve overclocking in some situations, of course as is the nature with overclocking there are no guarantees and there are many variables that are at play that can make the maximum wattage and/or overclock vary. There are no other changes or updates on the card that affect stability, performance or reliability. As mentioned if any questions please email as this is the best way to get an answer on this matter.
No other changes? Maybe I missed it but did you confirm which changes were implemented?
Jacob, this has been asked an number of times, can we have this answered please.

Did you reboot after swapping to the 'OC' position? Are you actually overclocking the card? If so, what settings? My board would only do 475w on xoc with an overclock but was much better than the 426w I had before. Also, was your card recieved through the new program or just a normal RMA?

It was received via 3090oc@evga.com. Yeah, i togged the switch to XOC. I assume .15 is the XOC ya? And of course, i was applying offsets. I was at 850/180. I even had the rads under ice (you can see my thermals in that image above).

Sorry for the questions, just trying to help troubleshoot since not many of us have these. Yes, .15 was XOC on mine as well. Did you set a voltage above 1.087? When I do that it completely limits my power. If everything you say is happening I'd reach out to the same email address and ask if they can help you to understand the results.

What a disappointment, sorry to hear that bud, did you manage to get a shot of the rail #3 max? I noticed it was set to min.

Whoa, ya i was maxing power. Lemme NOT max it and see what happens... I was just queing up my values from the original card that got me a decent PR score.

Hmm.. no go for me. I just left the voltage at the lowest setting went with 850/175 offsets in PR. It completed and i read a max of 1.075 but max Board Power Draw was just over 451.2W. 8pin#3 is always low.

The power draw looks not too good, but come on, your card did hit 2235 Mhz on the Core, wich is 195 Mhz more than my maximum Stable clock😅

Oh, dont get me wrong. The new clock values are very satisfying. (and agreed, they beat my old card too!) As for the power draw? I got off Port Royal and took to other apps. For instance, Warframe and World of Warcraft both draw 470-505W... Anno 1800 barley gets over 420W. This is with that same offsets and low GPU voltage. So i dont know... i guess i should be happy i can hit power target outside of PR? Overall happy with the new card but i did let 3090oc@evga.com of my results in PR and other games.

I reckon it has to be a new BIOS for that functionality.

How long did it take for people in the US to get response from the RMA email? I sent them an email a few days ago, and just wondering how long I should expect for response. I have 2x 3090's FTW3 Ultras. Launch edition on Air, and a recent HC version just came. Thinking of RMA my air one before I put the Optimus block on it.

Old benchmarks vs. new? Everyone's main problem before seemed to be the PCIe draw. Your's seem to be fine. My new card is due next week, and I'll be posting multiple before and after benchmarks with various applications. My card was very power limited, but ran great with no issues. Looking forward to the new RMA card. Very much appreciate EVGA for even stepping up.

I’m also receiving my new card this week. Hopefully I won’t be maxing 80w on the pcie power on this card. I was also stuck at around 420w on the 500w bios. My card was very cool on air though. Great service from EVGA.

96.3W max on #3
OK so EVGA have replaced the voltage controller with a NCP81610 and this has resolved the PCIe over spec power draw issue but there has been no fix for the imbalanced shunt rail trace design so this version of the RMA replacement cards still won't be able to pull 500W on the XOC bios as they will be power throttle on the high #1 8-pin rail. EVGA is that a fair summary? If so are you considering balancing the 8-pin rails by changing the shunt values?

Has anybody been able to get the hybrid bios on a new revision card working? I’m outta the loop. They sent me the typical .exe upgrade files via email but I just get a “no display adapater compatible” error message...even though I’ve attached the hybrid kit and that’s up and running...:/

willm1224 Has anybody been able to get the hybrid bios on a new revision card working? I’m outta the loop. They sent me the typical .exe upgrade files via email but I just get a “no display adapater compatible” error message...even though I’ve attached the hybrid kit and that’s up and running...:/
Maybe I'm out of the loop ... Why would a change in cooler require a different bios? Is it for pump control? If so, can you set a fan to 100% for the pump on the current bios and call it good? Sorry for the stupid question. Jacob did mention they would open up the swaps to hybrid owners in the future so maybe it's just a matter of waiting a small eternity for that to happen.

Just an FYI - EVGA hybrid cards / kits run the pump at 100% regardless of what you try and set (fan1 if you didn't flash the hybrid VBIOS on a hybrid kit card and connected everything per the instructions).
