Has anybody been able to get the hybrid bios on a new revision card working? I’m outta the loop. They sent me the typical .exe upgrade files via email but I just get a “no display adapater compatible” error message...even though I’ve attached the hybrid kit and that’s up and running...:/
Maybe I'm out of the loop ... Why would a change in cooler require a different bios? Is it for pump control? If so, can you set a fan to 100% for the pump on the current bios and call it good? Sorry for the stupid question. Jacob did mention they would open up the swaps to hybrid owners in the future so maybe it's just a matter of waiting a small eternity for that to happen.
They literally already sent me the hybrid XOC bios for this card (new revision) ... it just won’t work.

The process I used on my 3090 FTW3 Ultra to swap to hybrid with my kit was to go to https://forums.evga.com/m.m.aspx?m=3177119&p=2 and pick the right kit bios. After you run that open precision. It may update firmware again. Restart PC. After that, go and update with the 3988 Bios OC if yours is 3090, make sure you pick the right one. The XOC Beta Bios are all pinned here. https://forums.evga.com/m/tt.aspx?f=113 Worked for me. Make sure you choose the right bios switch. Also there is no pump control. I did mine a few months ago so something could have changed but I wouldn't think so. The files are the same..

Are any of those for the new revision cards? I know how to put the hybrid bios on there I’ve done it before. I took my old card off a hybrid kit then sent it back in...now I have a newer revision card, it has a different 500 w bios. I have emails where evga sent me a supposedly matching hybrid bios to this new revision card. I can’t get it work.

You know what I'm sorry I think they're actually not for the new revision. I'm sorry I don't know how the heck I missed that. I'm about to be in the exact same boat. I just got my RMA approval for mine with the load balancing issues. I'm sending it this week. My apologies! If you do figure it out will you post it because I'm going to be in the same boat. Also we're you able to salvage the Thermal pads on your hybrid kit for the new card? I was wondering if I'll need to change them. I hadn't intended to ever remove the hybrid kit.

Just an FYI - EVGA hybrid cards / kits run the pump at 100% regardless of what you try and set (fan1 if you didn't flash the hybrid VBIOS on a hybrid kit card and connected everything per the instructions).
Oh I know about the pump at 100%, my card was a hybrid since Dec. I’ve just got copies of the XOC hybrid bios for the new revision card I received Saturday sitting in my email and I can’t get them work. I guess it doesn’t really matter, since my rad fans are on a commander pro, and I still have shroud fan control in X1. but I know when I put the hybrid bios on there last time X1 uploaded some firmware too. I’m at a loss.

Yea everything was reusable on the hybrid kit (except gpu die paste)

so apparently can't upgrade to ANY hybrid bios period. none of them work, all of them give a display adapter errors. I suppose it's not the end of the world, but really kind of anti-climatic EVGA sent me hybrid bios for this new revision Friday. I just finally mounted the thing and went to flash, no deals. can't upgrade to another hybrid file and then jump to it either. oh well. i'll wait to hear back and update everyone I suppose.

I've got the 3090 FTW3 Ultra with the Hybrid kit installed. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme on the GPU and I replaced all of the thermal pads, front and back with Fuji Poly pads (stacked), and put another pad covering the exposed back of the GPU, currently with no added heatsinks. All RGB is NOT hooked up, and therefore not drawing any wattage. I also replaced the 2 EVGA fans on the 240mm AIO with 4 x Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM in push/pull and powered via a Corsair Powercommander rather than off the PCB - only the 1 Hybrid shroud fan is powered via the PCB (in a setup with a total of 16 x 120mm Noctua 3000 RPM fans in a Dynamic XL Case.) The temp differences at load and the stability of both the GPU and VRam went up. I maxed out at 2.175 GHz in TimeSpy and now its stable through 2.225 GHz. The VRam temps dropped about 30c overall and made them veryyy overclockable. The "Hot Spot" reported in Afterburner dropped about 20-25c. My GPU temps are ~25c better at load. I have hit as much as 512 watts total power draw in CPU-z on the EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3090 XOC 500watt bios. I do have to say though EVGA - as much as I love your products and love that your company is at least based in the USA, I find it extremely hard to believe you all didn't know how much horsepower you were giving up on these crazy priced cards by using such crap thermal pads on your FTW3 Ultra... literally the top of the line air-cooled GPU you make (and probably on the KP and factory Hybrid cards as well - I know what my Hybrid conversion kit came with - crap thermal pads.) Anyway - I fixed that blunder myself and now everything is great - but it sure would be nice to be able to use Precision X1. Right now, running Precision X1 in the background causes all sorts of problems with games loading. You have to remember to shut it off after it loads your overclock, or set it up through windows to load settings and then exit. Afterburner does not have this problem. (I JUST got a prebuilt pc for my girlfriend with the EVGA 3060ti FTW3 Ultra - and it's the exact same problem on her PC - if Precision X1 is running in the background, I cant get a SINGLE game to load - even at stock, default clocks, vram - everything. Overclocked, underclocked - Precision X1 causes games to crash, or to not load at all - on BOTH our PCs.) When I load up Precision X1 with my 500 watt XOC Bios for my 3090 FTW3 Ultra, it won't let me in the software unless it updates me BACK TO 350watt standard BIOS. If I reinstall the XOC 500 watt bios, Precision X1 decides once again to force me to update my BIOS just to OPEN THE SOFTWARE, and goes back to 350 watts... /facepalm GUYS - CAN YOU ADD THAT AS AN OPTION???? Srsly. I don't NEED to update my Firmware. You guys NEED to update Precision X1. I would also appreciate a working Hybrid XOC bios that I CAN FLASH ON MY CONVERTED CARD. I've asked via email and gotten 0 response. I keep getting the error that the Hybrid Bios is incompatible with my 3090 FTW3 Ultra converted to Hybrid. Lastly - would it be too much to ask to be able to pop the boost curve out into a resizeable window, as you can in Afterburner? It makes tweaking individual voltage nodes a whole lot easier when maximized on your screen, instead of stuck inside your UI. It sure would be nice to use EVGA software on my $2000+ EVGA card, instead of having to rely on MSI to provide a much superior overclocking, tweaking, and tuning software. Thanks!

Not yet - it isn't in the released OC BIOS with the new card

Hey hyuiop, i didnt see your IM. Sorry I only have Note9 camera so the images I sent you are trash. I have already reinstalled the block and put it back in to the gaming rig. I really like this new card, i am hitting some insane clocks while gaming vs PR. I told 3090oc@evga.com about not hitting power target with the new RMA card but looks like they do not plan to further help. I just got the generic we dont guarantee etc. All good though.

There is no need with a non hybrid card. It just allows control over the fans.

All good bud, it looks like phroze and lobstar are on it! Thanks guys. Yes it looks like EVGA have swapped out the controller so they don't blow up PCIe slots but not fixed the shunt circuity so it still power throttles off the high rail. If a work around without fixing the traces is as simple as re-balancing the shunt values I would say that missing that step is a C- effort. The whole not disclosing what the issue is sure is getting old.
