Is there going to be a BIOS update for those of us that got the hybrid kit for 3080 ftw3 ultra? My radiator fans are doing some weird stuff...ramps up and down even though I set it at a constant speed.
Did you try flashing the hybrid bios on it? It's on the OP...
Yea I did. Did not work, says my card is incompatible. Probably because it was expecting a 3080 Hybrid to flash the XOC bios.
You don't need to reinstall windows, you will need to flash an original hybrid bios first to your card, using nvflash only then will you be able to flash the update..

I got a bit muddled with another post, Hybrid bios, https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/227266/227266 I've just flash this and it works fine and allowed me to update to the xoc hybrid bios.. Tested with rtx 3080 ftw3 ultra Hdmi..

So EVGA any chance of a 3080 ftw3 lower tdp bios like a 320w with oc fan curve so my card doesn't hit 80+ temps, I know the card is safe at these temps but mine is not stable. I've had to flash a lower 350w msi bios, The heatsink and fan are not fit for purpose on these cards.
It’s not the heatsink that’s the problem, it’s your case and airflow. Besides, if you want lower tdp you should’ve just gotten a 3070 or 3060 Ti
I don't have much cooling at all tbh, pc's setup for water cooling.

So, I'm kinda new to overclocking using precision x1 and gave it a +400 memory clock and +100 to core. Voltage and power to max. It gave me a 2025-2050 stable at 75 degrees temp. I played borderlands 3 for about 2 hours.
I'm trying to understand what it means to overclock stuff. It gave me about 5 fps on the benchmark average in borderlands.
The fan was set to aggressive auto.

Perhaps you can tell what command options you used with nvflash? I tried flashing the one you posted but nvflash says pci mismatch.....

So I’m stressing a little bit, I have the 3080 ftw3 Ultra, I put the bios switch to OC mode and then downloaded the OC bios in this thread for the higher power limit, I flashed the bios then it said I need to restart my computer to finalize, I restarted it but my computer was stuck on the motherboard post screen with the spinning loading circle, I force shut down my computer after ten minutes and switched the bios switch back to normal and tried to boot again and had the same issue, my computer refuses to POST, did the new bios brick my card? And if so what do I need to do to fix this?

I max out at 118% power +200 core +650 mem This gives me between 2200 and 2100 steady in game. Fans at 100% but who cares when you are in VR. :)

My system was completely turned off. A friend of mine also has a FTW3 Ultra and had the same problem. We switched from OC to normal mode, but the card was still noisy and at idle the fans were still running. Can I download the default normal and OC BIOS somewhere, which is on the card when it comes out of the box? At the moment I'm using the normal BIOS from this thread here, but I'm not sure if this is the default BIOS or a beta version.

IMO, you should shutdown twice on the bios you want. I can't comment on this card, but the previous video card I had required you to shutdown twice to have the correct bios showup. So turn off the machine, select the bios you want, then turn on the computer. Then shutdown again and turn it on and it should be in the correct bios.
