i actually got it to work by clearing everything releated to evga out of my C drive in safe mode, DDU remove c/nvidia folder. then do the flash, then do the mcu flash, then install x1
That is not a practical solution to something one pays a lot of money for to work as soon as it is installed.

Yea. Just check before and after. Anyone know the baseline bios version number? The upgraded version number? Be nice to know that. (For each part number.)
My baseline bios number on 2080 XC Ultra was 90.04.0B.40.38
New bios number 90.04.0B.40.BB
When you update the bios it tells you previous version # then new version #
My original bios was 90.02.0B.00.67 which was only +112% for power.
Flashing with the new bios was 90.02.0B.00.E4 which is +130% power.
Video card is the 2080Ti XC ultra.
Recently installed my EVGA 2080ti XC Ultra and with a bios version of 90.02.0B.40.83, I'm assuming it's a newer bios version that what is the ops first post and thus I will not need to flash mine. Anyone know the latest bios or if the one I have is newer, don't want to flash if I don't need to.

no, the non XC Cards have the non A chips and the non A Chips with the much lower Price are not allowed from Nvidia to run a BIOS with higher power target. Also the chip is not capable to run a BIOS from an A chip. If you want a higher power target you Need to pay extra for the A chip.

I have an 11G-P4-2383-KR that had a clock speed issue, it was an RMA replacement I just received yesterday.
An advanced RMA has already been set up, but I'm wondering if flashing it to the BIOS provided on page 1 may fix the issue?

Both my cards have the current Bios installed so the Bios on the Main Page was for older cards and all the current cards have the updated Bios or newer.

It's dependent on the serial number/batch through the manufacturing process. Ask EVGA. Almost certainly you have the latest BIOS version applicable to your card. There has been no issue uncovered which would have required a BIOS revision. UPDATE: These are now legacy updates as it only needed to be applied on the first shipping cards. All new shipping cards now have these updates.

Yet people flash the Non-A chips just fine to the faster "A-Chip" BIOS :) I think its just the BIOS which is the real limiter. It "Might" clock lower than a A-Chip, but $300 difference for a 2080Ti is a lot for 100mhz.

Only voids the warranty if you kill the card and can't flash it back. Unlike the Xbox or PlayStation, these EEPOM BIOS don't have fuses in it to tell when its been messed with.

I actually just posted a thread about this, but what on Earth is going on with the "2080 XC Black" (08G-P4-2082-KR) BIOS? It's been clearly stated that it's a "yes", it was one of the reasons I went for the "XC Black" over the "Black" (am watercooling it).
People asked about the "2080Ti XC Black" a few weeks ago and not only got a prompt response...it was a link to the new BIOS.
Yet for the 2080 XC Black, nothing?
Not jumping to conclusions, maybe no one from EVGA has been in the thread this week to respond to the newer questions about it, but - what's going on with the 2080 XC Black's BIOS to raise the Power Limit?

try driver 416.34, it worked for me, unfortunately doesn't work with BFV, so I created a custom res of 140hz and it's working like that with 417.35. benq 2730 here.
