Buys reference gtx 680 sli, happy for 1 month then I found out signature come out. sad again.. then I found out ftw come out 1 month after.. sad again.. then I found out classified is on its way for next month or so. Sad yet again.. then I find out classified ultra is on it way for a month after classified release.. SAD AGAIN!!!
Buys classified ultra.. then I find out gk110 is coming 1 or 2 months after. WTH!!!! Process repeats..

That's life! Everytime something interesting comes after old ones ^^. Yeah and I agree with you with GTX 680s situation. But hey ;) There is a positive side of it

1st of all they are not available so much for others - others will get ur card ^^
2nd that's not EVGA trouble that u want their new cards (and they will be glad to sell ya their new cards-I would be too... believe me ^^). Referance cards were always weaker then those which are released aftermarket 2-3 months

Yea I think Jacob mentioned the HC will be released at the same time.

I really want to see what the specs are and price. Its a real toss up in deciding on getting this Classy or x2 SC 4GB 670's. I would like to go back to 1 card for low heat and power consumption but a part of me thinks SLi is just so awesome lols. Just means it will be a long time till I'd be able to SLi classys.

What do you think the price will be guys? My wild guess is $600-650? A tad steep for me xD

$650-ish is an open price point that evga could fill. I think that's a good guess. I want  classy but it only makes sense in SLI for a 30inch monitor at 2560x1600. That's about $1300. That's just a bit too rich for my blood.

Now 690 is looking mighty tasty, again! Maybe 690 on water is the way to go. That's got to be cheaper than two 680 Classies.

I am looking forward to seeing the Classified HC :) I hope to be among the first to get one once available. Luckily I have been patiently waiting for the "right" 680 for my wishes.

I'll start with 1 and then maybe add a second from Newegg later.

Are you all still thinking June for these Jacob?

I can't see this being $650 if the FTW 4gb which lacks all the bells and whistles is going to be $630.  Classified is looking more like $700+ to me

You're perfectly fine with just 2gb at 1080p.  In fact I think you'd be fine with just a single 670 OC'd.

A small sneak preview... Connectors there are 8pin+8pin+EVbot for some extreme tweaking. Next to that is the connector dedicated for hooking up probes to a voltmeter or multimeter.

All powered by a 14 Phase PWM, with 4096MB of GDDR5 memory.

More details soon...

cant wait to see it.

EVGA GTX580 Classified is most beautiful card I ever see. I'll never get over because nobody import that monster in my countrie, I asked them many times and nothing.
Until today that card is my wish, but maybe Serbian suppliers decide to import few Classified models except ugly DCII, MARS, ROG, Twin Froz, SOC and other cards in open boxes without protection. EVGA protect Hardware and Customer with their package with few protection.
You are so lucky because you can buy this kind of cards.

Why is everyone losing their minds over this card?  Until it is confirmed that the voltage is unlocked and can be increased over 1.175V, then there's nothing special about this card as the 10 extra VRMs and 8+8pin power connectors won't do ANYTHING to increase overclocks otherwise and you'll still hit the same 1300 MHz wall as every other single 680.

Which then begs the question, why is the question about unlocked voltage not being answered?  You gain NOTHING by keeping it a secret, because if it turns out this card has the same 1.175V voltage cap, then this card is pointless and a complete waste of money.  On the otherhand, if the voltage is not capped, then you will gain praise from all over for finally having an unlocked GTX 680 and demand will skyrocket.  So again, please answer the question that has been asked a few times already in this thread.  Will this card have unlocked voltage?

Agreed.  I (along with a few others) have posed this question numerous times.  The only way paying that much for this card makes any kind of sense is if the voltage is unlocked.

I'll keep my fingers crossed:)

Most people take the subtle "hints" such as: Being able to use EVBot or reading Jabcob's twitter he says the "GPUs will have tricks up their sleeves". I don't think you have anything to worry about voltage wise. If it's not completely unlocked, the headroom will be larger. If you're not impressed there's always that ASUS gtx 680 that's easily modified to unlock them.

"Hints" are not good enough.  It needs to be a clear yes or no answer.

I posted the article about the 680 CU II top when it debuted.  While that is an excellent choice, EVGA has always been the leader in enthusiast cards and overclocking and my choice of cards for the last 6 years.  If they decide not to release an unlocked Classy, that's fine, I will go with Asus.  However, we would like a simple straight up "Yes" or "No".

I feel like we are the exact same person. I've been buying EVGA for a long time and don't really want to have to switch companies. I find it odd that EVGA reps appear to avoid this question every time it surfaces.

The only reason not to sell unlocked Classified is to be able to sell another Classified "Ultra" version.

Why I think it will have a higher voltage than 1.175v

1) Other companies are allowing it(Asus card with solder points,Zotac claims up to 1.5v)
2) EVBot- made for benchers going for world records
3) 14 phases,8+8 pin

Why I think it will have a higher voltage than 1.175v

1) Other companies are allowing it(Zotac claims up to 1.5v)
2) EVBot- made for benchers going for world records
3) 14 phases,8+8 pin

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst:)

LOL@ Ultra version...you may just be right!
