Im torn. I dont know what to do.

I have 3 GTX 590 classifieds now and 2 GTX 570 SC...I dont know if I should wait for the 680 classified ultra's or wait and see what the 700 series cards have to offer. No doubt the 700 series will start out first with the 760's or 770's before the 780's and 790's are released. Even if they release the 780's first, i'd have to wait an additional amount of time to buy the 780 classifieds.

If you are happy now, just wait.  Your current setup should last a few years anyhow.

why there is a limit of 1 for house holder?
let me understand this, so what about for people who want to play max on dettails on HD?
1 is enough for keep up with an acceptable FPS rate on games like crysis?
I mean I don't have $ for now to upgrade anyway, but what about if I wanna get 2 for a SLI configuration?
EVGA I am disappointed on this

Nick, that block is for the reference 680.  The Classified is non reference and will be different.  What Psychor was asking is if EVGA will be selling the special waterblock made specifically for the 680 Classy (The HC Block) separately like they do the vanilla HC block now.

That's what is called EVGA-service sigh... Back in the day, EVGA was the best, nowadays (after the X58 bios and Intel ROM update problems) I don't have EVGA high on my list anymore. Not my loss, but theirs... EVGA is the new Abit. :S

Your retro-actively screwed like the rest of us.   The vanilla 680 should have come with a warning label on the box: if you buy this card you won't be able to buy upgraded special edition 680's from us in the future! I could see from the implementation point (yesterday) on-wards having a 1 card limit, but to go into past orders and have that count against you and preventing you from buying even 1 of these totally different cards seems a bit overboard.

These will be amazing cards! Has a VRAM bump, but also more oC capability which will be very necessary haha.

Tested the 690 OC to 1178Mhz Clock, 6900Mhz Memory, on Heaven 3.0 at 7680x1440 maxxed out settings with only 2x AA and it ran 1900-1950MB VRAM, which is not maxxed out, but only got 35-36 FPS average! Would need 2x690 just to get that up to ~60FPS  before even needing to worry about more VRAM haha.

Assuming this things 14 Phase PWM can crank that OC higher, 4 of these bad boys would actually get 7680x1440 above 60 FPS at 8x AA on max settings!

5760x1080 I was able to run max settings with 8x AA only used about 1600MB VRAM and ran at ~55 average FPS. Which is pretty good, so SLI these 680 Classified would rock 2D Surround on 1080P monitors with maxxed settings in most games with ease! Which I assume most people running 2d Surround are using 1920x1080 monitors rather than 2560x1440 or 1600.

You want two of these things.....geez, I just want one friggin' card!  I understand that many people want two or more of these things but the thing is even if they were going to get two or more, they could at least be playing around their rig and get a good framerate until they get their other cards.

Thanks for the update Jacob, I am looking forward to 2 of the HC versions so I can complete my water loops. I had been contemplating getting blocks for my 2 reference cards but i will now just wait it out. I sold my 690 to another member on these forums already and will probably sell my 2 reference 680's as soon as I can get the Classified's, i have owned reference, SC, and SSC, and Black OPSl cards but never a Classified, this time around I would like to have the top of the line. I do have a question if you can answer Jacob, assuming that we will be able to adjust the voltage, can it be done without the EVGA BOT, and if you will need it, will we have to purchase one for each card for SLI  or am I way off base here. Thanks

So you saying if I grab 1 of those cards, since I play only with a single monitor at 1920*1080p that card alone will give you playable FPS rate in at max details on games like crysis 2?
I am currently using 3 way SLI of 470sc and I am not able to use A.A or V-Sync without getting mouse lag but I am able to play the game at 1920*1080p at DX11 max details fine without A.A. filtering and V-Sync OFF, but I talking about 3 way SLI here, so how can 1 card(680) can do the job 3 cards (470sc)? If it those I am looking forward to grab 1 of this baby ASAP, because this 3 way SLI is killing me, too much power consumption (good increase on my electric bill), noise and heat in my room.
I am not familiar with OC GPU, I prefer SLI so I don't have to mass around on killing my cards, specially when you are on air cooling
