Yes, I grabbed one. It's the GTX 1080 FTW DT version. Not Overclocked. Standard clocks, but I'm sure it will over clock like all the other 1080's.

Almost bought one but decided to hold off for a "real" FTW edition. I'm curious to see how it performs though.

Anyone knows when the 1070 FTW will become available/reach Europe (and more precise, Eastern Europe)? I aim for that card specifically, and hope I can get it in max 2 weeks :s So far, a local retailer told me they currently don't have any ETA on this model (however I spoke with a representative, that maybe.. maybe, didn't had access to all the store's trades and orders) My old card (650 Ti SSC) has started to die slowly, and I can't wait to upgrade (so far there are 2 stores that have this card, with a placeholder price, and due to my daily refreshes of the pages, their prices -even if placeholder - are going up by ~50 cents per day) Thank You

Wow amazon haven't shipped my Pre-order yet. But they listed Ftw as in Stock today. This is really getting ridiculous.

A city only a couple hours away from New York on the Canadian side should NOT be having stock arrive at the same time as the UK. Absolutely ridiculous.

Maybe hardware launches should be like modern video game launches, where it's an international launch on a set date with all stock shipped out and stacked up beforehand. Pre-orders are still a thing and fresh stock still takes time to come from the factories of course but the initial launch and stock levels would be the same everywhere. That would be fair on everyone. As a Brit, I don't see why we should have to endure these inflated MSRPs and delayed availability just because of boarders and international status.

Finally!!! After more than a month waiting, I successfully bought one GTX 1080 FTW from newegg just now (like literally 5 mins ago). I overnighted it immediately since I'm a Premier member. Note: That alarm notification from nowinstock.net website doesn't even work at all or maybe it is delayed.

Interesting. My situation: I saw they had the "backorder" option on 7/7, so I pulled the trigger. Payment was charged on 7/8, and it's still in "packaging", 4 days later. Not all that happy, since it appears mine was "backorder" and you were able to get one done same day. I talked to them earlier this morning (before seeing your post) and they said mine would "likely be shipped today"... I've been a (Premiere) customer of theirs for 10-15 years (couldn't even begin to guess how much $, ordering for personal and business). My feelings are, if you don't have one, then don't charge me until you do. If you charge me, then ship it.

Exactly. I'm waiting to chat with them (again) right now.
In the 10s of 1000s of dollars I've spent there, I've never had anything in "packaging" longer than a day or two, even over a weekend (ordered on Friday, shipped on Monday)...
Current wait time: 25mins. I have a hunch they're telling a lot of people the same thing they're about to tell me...

goodluck with that. I have to go out now. I'll come back home and have a live chat with newegg too to waive the rush processing fee since I'm a Premier member.

FattysGoneWild The FTW version is by far the hardest card to get right now from EVGA. Every since it went on sales. Its gone in seconds when it does come up at places. You don't stand a chance against these people. Trust me. They are a dedicated bunch that literally F5 24/7. They also setup 1 click purchases. So, when it does come up. All they have to do is add to cart and submit. Or just click submit only like Amazon 1 click shopping. If you are willing to drop down to a Superclocked or FE version from EVGA. Those are a bit easier to get. Especially the FE. I have also seen places allowing a 2 card purchase. Not cool when supply and demand is so high. Newegg allows only 1 card per purchase. I mentioned earlier rumors said stock will not improve until August. It looks to be true and heading that way.
I ordered one yesterday and hardly fit in the category you described. I get the frustration; I've had my money put aside for the 1080 FTW since before release. I checked maybe 3 times a week on this thread, as well as setup some auto-notify options at a few retailers (as well as nowinstock.com). I noticed a trend that they went up right as my work day was ending (sometime between 5 and 7 PM Eastern), so I periodically checked before I went home - when I remembered to. Someone on this thread posted yesterday that it was available on newegg, and I was able to get one even though I forgot my password and had to go through the verification process because it had been so long since I ordered from that site. Call me lucky, but I was hardly spamming F5 24/7 or setting up 1 click purchases. Just keep trying. They seem to be releasing more these last few weeks.

I ended up just getting the 1080 FTW DT version on jet.com last night. I know it isn't as good, but it will serve the person well I am building for. He will like the RGB LED on it. With a total shipped of $656 it is cheap compared to those that are price gouging.

Actually they have had the 1080 FTW in stock a few times each day for about 10 minutes. The thing that I noticed is that they say they are shipping from the US. So in other words I don't think NewEgg Canada has actually gotten any that are for them, they are just pulling stock from their US store. ace3d Is there any EVGA 1080 FTW shipping in Canada I preordered mine at Memory Express since May 28. Well I can't say I have good news for you then. I got my order with Memory Express and just talked to them again today. First, they have not gotten their first shipment of FTW cards yet. Why is it taking longer to ship to Calgary than somewhere in the EU is beyond me. But they do expect the first batch this week. Now for more bad news, I have been told multiple times they are only getting 50 FTW cards, chain wide, in that first batch. And then to just throw some salt on that wound, I have been told that it is highly unlikely I will get one of the first cards. Considering I got my order in just before 6pm on May 27th, the odds of you getting yours in the first batch is even worse. Now as for when they are getting cards after that first tiny batch, I have been told two things, end of July and July 20th. Considering how long this first shipment is taking, I'm leaning towards the end of July. That said that second shipment should have up to 300 cards according to what they told me. And this is why I am now actively looking at trying to grab one from NewEgg.ca. Don't get me wrong I would prefer getting it in town and not have to pay shipping, but I am getting really sick of this wait. Oh and my wife is sick of me talking about how we still don't have the cards here in Canada.
