I ended up paying almost 25 bucks for the privilege of buying from EVGA compared to Newegg because of shipping. But there is no backorder ambiguity. Plus, support EVGA, they don't have to share with Newegg when you order direct =)

Not being stuck in backorder limbo. Some people who did the backorder/pre-order route are STILL waiting after new orders have already been shipped/received. I'll eat the shipping cost for a guaranteed card (hopefully).

 5 tries in a row....click on paypal link ..finish paypal and it takes me to the main page of evga.com...on the last time it went through ...the card was out of stock... no luck today :(

It did the same for me trying to use Paypal. I just did CC instead, and it went through.

tried CC also, bank verfication didnt go through also...
I think its just too much traffic and it couldnt handle which one to put through the system

For me, my all-in price with Newegg was going to be only $10 less than EVGA once shipping was factored in (cheapest way). I would rather go this way than get stuck in back-order limbo.

Out of stock now I tryed and it went through my paypal but i don't know what happen it just messed up after i went through the paypal guess im not ment to have the gtx 1080 ftw

Have you gotten a confirmation email yet? Its not a big deal but it would be nice to know either way so if they get more stock i dont end up with 2 or 3 cards because I didnt know for sure...maybe that wouldnt be so bad after all.

I had 2 in my cart.. Went to checkout and got an error.... I totally understand the whole "first who pays gets it".. But when I have it in my cart, and in the middle of getting my CC, they are removed from my cart...
Listen, I get it.. People can place items in their cart and leave it there.. But when your intention is to buy then and there, why should it be ok for someone else to take it from you? Perhaps implement a time limit it can be in a cart? 10 minutes perhaps????
there i go rambling again..maybe its the chemo getting to my head lol...

I got the confirmation of receipt of my order, but not of shipping. Ironically, two minutes later, I got the auto-notify of stock availability that I signed up for weeks ago. Glad I saw the note from Jacob and did not rely on the auto-notify! Thanks Jacob!

Noted the same thing (except for the basic shipping vs 3-day 'business') and dropped the extra $10. Order went through via PayPal (US). I've never spent this much on a GPU before. I've always stuck to the 'entry level performance' tier (x60/Ti). I felt like I was 10 lbs lighter when the order went through. lol Deep breaths... Counting on this thing lasting at least 10 years at a price like this. :P So... " Orders placed after 2:00 PM PT will ship the following business day." Since availability wasn't until 5:12~ EDT (2:12~ PDT)... they ship tomorrow, right? Might not be home if it arrives on Saturday morning/afternoon (within 3 business days) for whatever reason. <_<

I tried to order GTX 1080 FTW the first seconds it go on air, TRIED 5 TIMES with paypal, Each time when I clicked 'confirm' button to pay on paypal - I got kicked back to EVGA website, To the products page. You can understand why i'm pissed.
Edit: Forgot to mention that each time the order didnt process, I had to start all over again, And I did everything super quick. Weird.

I got the email with the invoice and everything in it, but in my order history the order is listed as "Pending Verification" Does this mean I'm screwed too?!
