You really can't trust Newegg's auto notify option. I ordered my card last week Friday but got the in stock notification email this morning.

Well all that's left is waiting for it to arrive. Good luck to you EU guys. It turned out better this time around compared to the 980Ti Hybrid 2 years ago here in the US, but it will always feel like it takes forever when you are waiting for stock to arrive. EVGA how about next time you just make hybrids day one. I might be biased though but I can't imagine ever using a non-hybrid card ever again.

I picked up two of them this morning also and it's already set to be here Wednesday,  I expected more trouble than this with ordering them after the last go around.

EVGA GTX1080Ti SC2 Hybrid worth waiting, believe me.
I compared many models and I can't find nothing better except for guys who will add GPU with waterblock in their custom loop.
People need 3 years at least to accept CPU AIO systems, once when they try GPU with AIO they will not change.
I argue on beginning with CORSAIR H50 and H70, their first CPU AIO Coolers because people loved Megahalems and Noctua Tower coolers, and they were better than H50 and H70 but these had other advantages. Now Hybrid is in much better situation because Air coolers can't come even close to Hybrid.
All of graphic cards similar as GTX1080Ti air cooled reach more than 75C in best scenario, only is matter of time.
Hybrid is only specific model I wish when we talk about GTX1080Ti... except her it's not so important, really... again Founders with Hybrid.

Best thing is to just ignore this guy. He's clearly just a fanboy who will lick EVGA's backside no matter what, as long as it benefits him. Another entitled American, quite a few on here truth be told.

Maybe you should have taken your own advise before insulting me and generalizing all Americans.  At least we now know what you think of us.  Thanks big guy.  Maybe you could go to your local makeshift brands and buy from them because you know, only a contradicting genius would buy from an american company after making those remarks.

And btw, I'm sitting here waiting patiently for another SKU as it's not even released yet while some people around here are truly having entitled baby stompy feet moments.  Thanks for being a fine example.

You take care now, mate.

Newegg actually provides a disclaimer that the Auto Notify function may not guarantee a timely notification whenever the item is back in stock.

And EVGA will never have multiple versions of the same GPU available for sale on day one.  It's actually a matter of marketing and sales (profit) strategy.  They know all too well that there are those that will want the 'stock blower style' FE version of the card on day one.  These are those customers that have no patience and will pay to have any version as soon as possible.  And then there are those that are more patient and will wait for the fancier proprietary EVGA aircooled versions and eventually the last to be released AiO versions, full waterblock "Hydro" versions, and lastly the Classified and KINGPIN versions (albeit, air-cooled, which is just stupid).  In the end, EVGA releases the cards in a specific order as part of a sales strategy to 'milk that cow' until the next best new thing is ready for release...Volta ;-)

My SC2 Hybrid is due to arrive tomorrow, very much looking forward to it. Never had an AIO before, so are these Hybrid cards OK to run 24/7 or should I turn the computer off when I'm done using? Not concerned from a power usage but rather interested in prolonging the life of the pump. Thanks.

Life expectancy on the AiO pumps is ~2 years based upon "daily use".  Daily use most likely does not mean 24/7.  If you were to run it 24/7, I would not expect it to last a full 2 years.  My recommendation would be to not to keep your PC running 24/7 based upon expected life span of the AiO pump.  You may very well get lucky and not have any issues running 24/7 for 2 years straight.  Ultimately, you can chose to do whatever you want

Thanks for the detailed reply. I will shut the computer off when not in use. Two years for an AIO seems really short though. The GPU will still be very competitive even in two years so seems strange the whole thing goes bad just because the pump life is short. Are there any other tips to help extend the life? I don't think I'll have the card in 5 or 10 years but maybe I should get that EVGA warranty.

Suppose it depends if you plan to replace it with something else before the 3 year warranty is up.

I ran my 980 ti Hybrid 24/7 and it had been running fine for 22 months until one of the capacitors blew but then it was still under warranty so it was replaced

Thanks for that info, looks like the card failed before the cooler did despite running 24/7. Great for EVGA to get that replacement out to you. My expectation right now is that I will upgrade within 3 years but it all depends on progress in both the GPU capabilities and game requirements. I play on my 4K 60hz TV, so as long as I can maintain 'good enough' framerates (40-60 fps) @ 4K with the 1080 Ti then I don't need to upgrade. If it starts to fall behind on modern titles then I'll switch up. I'm still rocking my trusty Sandy Bridge from 2011 because it doesn't seem to be holding me back any since I play at higher resolutions rather than higher frames.

I believe it's a 5 year period with some that can go passed that.  For example, I actually have a H50 I used in the past and have given it to my brother a few years ago.  In total, it's been running for 5+ years now.  Obviously not straight but most of the time its being used.

I swapped original fan with PWM Noctua connected to MoBo, much better results and QUIET (original connection is 2-pin).

What Noctua did u use?
I did plan to use NF-F12-IPPC-2000-PWM

Noctua NF-F12-PWM, 1500RPM is good enough for me and it stays pretty quiet :)

A premium radiator fan like the F12 can reduce the noise level while pushing more air through the rad which could result in a few degrees knocked off at the most.

I ordered one from Amazon(US) hours ago, not shipped yet though
there are few questions I want to know
Can the fan on the shroud stop on idle temp? Is pump also PWM controlled?
Thanks in advance!

I haven't received it yet (due today) but my understanding is the fan lead from the GPU is a 2pin and the fan itself is a 3 PIN. The fan as delivered runs at a constant speed 100% of the time and does not vary by load. My plan is to replace the stock fan with an SP fan, then run that fan off my cases' fan controller. This way I can manage the fan speed, cooling, and noise. I'm sure it could be plugged into a header on the motherboard and controlled that way too if you like. And though I am using an aftermarket fan you can probably do the same with the stock fan too. The blower fan on the GPU itself is based on VRM temps, but it should stay pretty cool and low speed.

I am not familiar with how the pump is controlled, sorry can't help you there.

Just rang Scan to check that my card will be dispatched on the 19th like stated in the e-mail and noticed i got an e-mail earlier that i didn't see saying it had already been packed, should be with me tomorrow! I can now disconnect my 1080 Hybrid and ship it back to EVGA for my step-up which i will sell to fund the SC2 i've already bought.

Apparently they got 4 cards in stock today and they are getting more in on the 19th.

I ordered mine on the 6th May, the reason i rang them originally was that if i could get assurances that it was being dispatched on the Friday then i'd want to change my delivery service to Saturday delivery, otherwise it would have been Monday for me and possibly for you. You could ring them to check and possibly change your delivery.

Scan, just told me that the cards they sent out is for early pre-orders only. I will still have to wait for the maybe 19/05/17 restock/delivery.

Looks like I will be still playing (Let it Die) on my PS4 Pro for a bit longer.  Also (Dead cells) on PC, that runs great on my 7700k integrated GPU

All this waiting, I've started reading more about Vega.

Fascinating stuff coming out of AMD right now.

Pro version apparently will launch late June, who knows when the consumer Vega will drop. And when that happens Volta will almost be out. And AMD's response to Volta will take forever just like Vega has taken forever. You will be waiting far longer than you are for the 1080 Ti. I haven't bought AMD since the desktop 5870 and laptop 7970 (which was defective in Clevo laptops at the time and AMD just ignored it. Luckily I was able to swap for gtx 680m version). I haven't forgotten and remain on Team Green because of it.

I do wonder what Vega will bring to the table.  Hopefully it will be competitive with Nvidia's high end and force more price competitiveness.

I am guessing that best Vega GPU will be between GTX 1070 and 1080. Certainly it won't equal GTX 1080 TI. So it will have almost no impact on prices of GTX 1080 TI.

Yeah that's been AMD's thing for a while. Vega will be a good chip but it's going to be at best around a GTX1080 but not the 1080Ti performance. It would be interesting if they actually did release a 1080Ti equivalent of even faster but I did the whole wait and see with the 980Ti and all I did was waste my time so I didn't bother to do it again this time.

So far I am loving the 1080Ti Hybrid and I am still running it stock.
Edit: Just wanted to add, that it came in decent packaging, but compared to the 980Ti packaging, it doesn't compare IMHO. That 980Ti Hybrid packaging was just awesome.
