Been running this card on stock bios with a +100 core +45 memory oc but interested in using a custom bios and wondering if i will see much improvement my card cooled with waterblock and idles at 25c haven't seen the card go above 44c under 100% load for prolonged periods of gaming

Anyone give some suggestions i also keep Kboost on and i don't know if there's a different with boosting on or disabled in custom bios but i prefer to have a static core clock than 1 that jumps up and down

Also off topic if anyone could answer this question i have 3 evga cards at home outside of warranty that were all causing crashes / resets / no screen showing (i re-timmed them) but didn't solve the issue the cards are the following

1.Part Number: 03G-P4-3887-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Reference
2.Part Number: 03G-P4-2884-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked w/ EVGA ACX C
3. Part Number: 06G-P4-2791-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Superclocked

I was considering to pull them apart and try the baking method as a last attempt before trashing them any other threads or suggestions on what may cause these kinds of issues that weren't resolved with re-timming etc (Have confirmed its not pc hardware issue or driver issue 100% because after replacing with a new card system works fine where as all 3 of these caused problems on 2 seperate machines)

I don't really care if they break in the process of attempting to fix them because they will be going into trash anyway so like any tips on what to look for or a process to repair would be awesome and great to learn on :)

Hello vitale! It's hard to say if you could overclock the 1080Ti even further than what you have already. Each individual chip will be a little different than another and some will overclock higher or lower. World-record overclockers like Kingpin sometimes have to go through dozens of hardware components before they can reach the highest clock speeds. We also don't recommend flashing a custom BIOS to a graphics card that is still under warranty, as if it cannot be flashed back that could cause issues.

For the cards that are out of warranty, it's difficult to pinpoint why they may be crashing. We don't recommend baking a graphics card as there are metals or chemicals in the PCB that could release/vaporize, thus making the oven unsafe for cooking food in afterwards. Sometimes re-flashing the original BIOS can help and if you would like I would be happy to try to find those original files for you.

You won't be able to run a custom vbios on your 1080 ti as nvidia has the cards locked down, and there isn't even a tool available to edit your vbios with.

Nvidia Boost 3.0 has the last word in OC the 10 series cards ---> Including the need for Validated BIOS

Your keeping them cold enough, you'll have to test the various settings to find your cards best OC

Hi thanks for the reply Adam it would be great if you could send me the original bios for the 3 cards mentioned i am a long time EVGA user have like 9+ cards going all the way back to the GTX 295 :P just thought i would give it 1 more shot with these cards it would be a shame to throw them out if its something as simple as reflashing the bios or just a capacitator that needs repairing etc if the flashing of bios does not work are there any places that speciliase in finding out whats wrong with the card for a reasonable price like say $20-50 ?

I know most people just accept there dead and throw them out but i am very interested in learning how to find whats causing the issue and attempting repairs myself any information you could provide would be awesome and i will give those bios files a shot when you send them over

Yeah i have a pretty good watercooling setup so your advice is don't play with custom bios and just try to normally overclock i thought by using custom bios i would be able to increase the voltage beyond what the limit is on this specific card which would in turn yield a higher / more stable overclock assuming the temps are kept in check ? some were suggesting using custom bios such as FTW3 BIOS and were getting good results would there be any harm in trying out this bios and am i not understanding something the benefits would just be more voltage which allows higher clocks obviously within limits of the chip itself

Have attached a photo my cards clocks it seems to go up to 1.093volt and in arma 3 its only using like 50% gpu usage im guessing this has to do with the game ? core clock was hitting 2075 and temps were like 30c lol any tips ?
