I got super lucky, I was going to bed and just as I was laying down the phone it flashed up. It was EVGA tweeting that the card was just released so I quickly jumped out of bed and got in front of the computer and ordered it. When I woke up six hours later the card was out of stock both in EU and NA.

I was feeling bummed out on missing the window for buying one of the first batch of 8 Kingpin 1080 Tis they made , after impatiently waiting 2 months for this thing to ship and then remembered I have no Dark X299 mainboard for my 7740X, nor a Delid Die Mate X!
 
Dark ships who knows when, delidder not available until August 30.  
 
My thumbs should be worn to the bone by then...why do I do this to myself?

Nice more are on the way! Part of me is tempted to run these in SLI but SLI has been nothing but problems for me for the last few months... and I probably shouldn't spend the money

I cant wait to finally see the rgb on the back  the way kingpin was describing it sounded cool, will be interesting to see what they ended up going with.

Is it going to look like the ftw3 backplate?

Since the hydro copper block will fit, will the EK 1080 ti FTW 3 block work as well?

If Jacob you would be able to give any kind of "eta" on the next batch that would be great, if its only going to be a week or two i can go without a card otherwise I'm going to need to purchase something in the meantime. 

I have only seen Jacob say there would be more cards.. I don't think he gave any sort of timeline yet. EVGA has been relatively quiet about timelines, because they can say "hopefully soon" and people take it as absolutely fact it will happen by a set date.

... and already one scalper on ebay selling it... with ridiculous price gotta laugh at it :D

In the first page there was something about hydrocopper so yeah.

Hmmm. any experiences from earlier blocks, do Hydrocopper have G1/4" connections? EKwb pages say no block from them, don't know about future if enough reguests. seems they got 980ti kpe blocks left in their hands so they don't want stock of non selling parts... or then go with VGA universal block and leave else aircooled since 2 piece cooler :)

I know how you feel. For the last 3 weeks I basically haven't done anything but wait to buy the darn thing. Btw mine is out for delivery right now!

Very jealous. Please let me know how that thing goes on air :)
