What are details on the power target and voltage limit on the second bios? I will be water cooling. Push push push overclocking .EK water blocks for 1080ti FTW3 coming out late may.

2nd bios traditionally is 130% power target and removal of the zero fan (fans always on).

Thanks for the swift reply..How about voltage limit.... will we be able to increase voltage higher than stock bios?

I don't over volt my card so haven't checked. There is a few on it. I'm not sure how strict nvidia is on voltage limits. It might just be restricted to more amps.

The only reason I'm getting the ftw3 card is to overvolt and or to push the power Target past its normal limits using the Dual bios. I will watercool the card wirg an EK block so I will not hit a thermal barrier however I will hit a voltage barrier and a power Target barrier. Air-cooled versions of the card get 2000 megahertz with stock bios. I'm hoping with dual bias I can use the second bios to attain 2300 megahertz underwater. Or else I may as well just get a Founder's Edition card and put a water block on that. But I have 780ti classifieds now and there are custom bios for those cards as well as others for EVGA. So I am hoping that either with the second bias or custom bias I will be able to push these cards past 2000 megahertz underwater beings that I have 720 millimeter of radiator space available to cool the bad boy. The goal is to hit 2300 or 2400 megahertz underwater

Bcavahugh or CoolGTX could give you more details on that. They are pushing 2100+ on water in the folding forum. I think one got them to 2200 but I'm not sure. You can check out the thread there.

Good luck with that.  The 1080 Ti series is notorious for not overclocking well via core, you are much better off focusing more on overclocking the memory.  Only golden samples reach 2100 and water cooling doesn't help much other than keeping temperature cool so downclocking during boost mode doesn't happen.  Some people have luck with the shunt voltage mod to achieve 2100+ but you are risking frying the GPU and also having to run it at a much higher power draw for not that great of increase in clock speed.  Realistically, only expect 2100-2150 in a best case scenario when water cooling but most are going to be in the 2050-2100 range.  I'm water cooling via a hybrid and only can achieve 2012-25 since I have a dud of a card when it comes to core but at least memory is +500-550 range ;p.  The FTW3 starts off around 2000 core without any overclocking so it should at least do 2050.

There hasn't been much proof of voltage helping Pascal Gpus much. Just gotta keep the temps low to keep the boost high. The 1080Tis under water are running at 2138Mhz over on the folding side. Those are FE cards and I doubt you'll get much higher on the FTW3 card even under water . Nothing over 2200Mhz seems to be possible without liquid nitrogen and tons of voltage (relatively speaking).

I got tired of waiting for evga after I bought my first ftw3 on the 28th of march. so I too got a 2nd ftw3 from BH and they say estimated arrival to there store is 17th of May. my first card that I bought from evga still says shipping date of 5th of May. all really doesn't matter as I am putting them both on water and ekwb isn't going to have the blocks for them till the end of May.

I might actually cancel the pre order and just buy the other 1080 ti I was waiting for as it'll be available from Amazon on the 25th of April.

For those hopping a custom BIOS is going to get you to 2200Mhz... ain't gunna happen. Nvidia has locked voltage in BIOS (see Tom Peterson on PCPer Podcast) AND... voltage doesn't do anything for clocks with Pascal unless temps are low (as we saw with Maxwell).  It's all up to silicon lottery and how cool you can get your GPU.

That still could be right since EVGA already said in a statement, that they will sell and ship before their 3rd party sellers so chances are, you will get your first from EVGA, before BH.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

1080ti HOF has unlocked BIOS so it is possible...

http://www.guru3d.com/new...080ti-hof-spotted.html

hopefully FTW3's second bios will help overclocks, or maybe skynet will release a custom bios, for those of us with custom loops, that will help us break the 2100mhz barrier. I will have 2 360mm rads in custom loop. I will be really close to ambient and build is in my cold basement office. I can keep her REAL COOL..

ONE CAN DREAM , CANT ONE.

I wonder when the variants of the GTX 1080 TI FTW 3 will come out. I am going to try and get the variant that is equivalent to the best Elite Member GPU in peformance but does not require the Elite Member status

So what are the chances of these being shipped so they are delivered on the 1st or will they be shipped from the 1st for delivery a few days later? It's a 3 day weekend...I have no GFX card until my FTW3 ships...

Cool, good news. Fingers crossed then.

Strange about the confirmation call...do they do that in EU as well?

Ditto!

When did you pre-order? I submitted my order 20 minutes after the first pre-order became available and I haven't gotten any call yet. My estimated ship date says 1 May.

About the same time as you... maybe 10 minutes or so after the pre-order went live (recall that the website was not as 'responsive' as it usually is ;-)

You may wish to give their support number a call to see what's up:
