Hopefully we will know more later. Only evga has the answer, and you've been around long enough to know it will probably be "soon" lol.

Don't think so, Pax East start today, so during the next 3 days we should have more information about the new Evga TI , SC - SC2 and FTW3 .
But May for the FTW3 i hope not, April will be good, just have to wait like 20days . Just need to wait for Pax East

I saw one of the You Tube Reviewers of the 1080 TI say it will be April. I have no clue if he knows what he was talking about.

Ryzen R9 5900X, Asus X570 Crosshair Viii Hero, 32 GB DDR4-3600, EVGA RTX 3080 Ultra FTW 3, Phanteks 400A Case, 2X 1TB M.2 SSDs.

That was what the K|ngp|n 980ti had. Its not uncommon. The card is meant for Liquid Nitrogen overclocking for a reason. Thats why air users should never waste their money on them.

Nvidia cancelled the launch when you posted that.

If you cant read any posts before yours, you will never find the answer.

Ok, that makes more sense ;-)

The extra 8 pin is supposed to help provide a lot more voltage and stability when pumping crazy high clocks for record breaking benchmarking. For air, it is 100% unnecessary. Anyone that tells you it is, is honestly incorrect. Two 8pins will do more than necessary on air.

This was the 980ti KPE:

It was great for ln2 and extremely overpriced for air. Air users will always always always try to justify buying it, even though it is unnecessary.

Got it, thanks!

You better try it :-P. I didnt type that to try and guess which video you wanted to link. I want to watch too! Lol. I am exhausted...

Without going to youtube, i can tell you think pink is incorrect, but the brackets are correct:

https://www.youtube.com/w...xX1_mmmQAA&t=1Http

This is correct:

https://youtu.be/lxX1_mmmQAA&t=196s

Very minor change. No www. And no .com/watch?v= that is the only difference between a share link and a url :-D. Hopefully that helps.

Ok got it ! thank you so that's why the FTW have 2 x 8 pins or the SC 1 x 6 + 1 x 8.
Thank you

Exactly. The classified will have 2 x 8pins as well. The difference between the FTW and classified is VRM module count. The classified has always used 14+3 vrm (14 core vrm modules, and 3 memory vrm modules) that does nothing for air overclocking, but can help a tiny bit on water cooled.

The ftw usually has 2 extra vrm over the reference card, but on the 1080, they doubled it from 5+1(reference) to 10+2(ftw) and classified kept 14+3.

The kingpin uses the 14+3 as well, but there are other major changes also, like vram heater for subzero cooling, vdroop switches to apply an extra 50mv of power, different lighting, split hest soreader so the vrm can keep its spreader while the vram is uncovered. Lots of changes that are useless on air.
