Hello EVGA, I have always been a big fan of the reference super clocked models. Ever since the GTX 480 I always buy the EVGA reference superclocked models. Is there any chance of you releasing a super-clocked founders edition? I also figured I would include a picture of the old boxes I keep.

If you want a founders edition card you will have to buy it directly from nvidia. EVGA will be offering a reference type card but it won't be a founders edition. EVGA will be offering a 1080 card based on nvidia 1080 reference design. Founders edition cards are 100% designed and built by nvidia. See more info here... http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2477480

Not so sure about that. Have a look here - http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6180-KR It's specifically labeled as "Founders Edition" To stay on topic, I'm sure that there will be a SC, as well the as the ACX version, but it may take a few weeks after launch. After all the reference cards are an extra $100. Who would say no to extra profit for as long as possible?

The same as every other reference card bought from any other partner. If you're purchasing your reference card from evga, you as a consumer are not buying the card directly from nvidia, you're buying it from the partner. Which in this case carries certain benefits, ie. a better warranty and rma services.

Unless Nvidia partners are smart with their pricing modules of their "other" versions of the 1080, this series may end up hurting the partners if they try to price gouge.

I will buy an eVGA even if NVidia's comparable card is cheaper. I'm happy to pay for a great company and it's outstanding customer service. I'd rather not deal with NVidia directly. So yes, I'm paying a premium ...but that premium gives me peace of mind if I have a problem.

Founders Edition will be reference clocked only. Of course there is always PrecisionX to let you overclock to your hearts desire though ;)
