would you mind to clarify why only sc2 and ftw2 are available in this bios update?
for 1 they have better cooling of the mem dont you remember the big reason they made the ICX
as far as i know, evga has never admitted their responsibilty on the vram thermal pad thickness issue
I'm sure you're juust confused. EVGA did accept responsibility for the high vrm temps. Even to the point of offering a free RMA to apply the thermal pads. They did confirm that the temps were still within margin of operation but decided to offer a way to reduce them anyway. They then went and accelerated the development of iCX system to prevent future high temps of the VRM and Memory.
oh tell that to my buddy who had to have 3 titan X replaced cause of memory failure with 1st gen GDDR5X on it lmao

Interesting, i do get a pretty hefty performance jump ( 11784 to 12187) and i didn't see any artifacts or anything odd. But won't this damage the memory? or wear them out significantly faster?

It shouldn't as long as no more voltage is applied by the bios update. Your performance increases will vary depending on the quality of each individual card's memory quality. Does this just reflash clock speeds or change voltages and timings as well?

i am sure we are not on the same page. i am talking about the vram problem. i am talking about the there were gaps between vram chip and the cooling mid plate, because of the wrong thickness of thermal pads were used. that is not the problem i am concerning in this thread, and that is past, and i have moved on. i am now asking why only sc2 and ftw2 are available in this new bios update

Im going to try this when I get home from work and see if I get some performance bump for sure.
I've had manual overclock's on the GPU core clock and a slight increase on the mem clock that boosted performance but; I have also had performance dips by pushing the memory clock speed to far with software such as XOC, and Afterburner.
Going to see how this Def works on my FTW2 and report back here.

Not sure I would advise on doing that. Doesn't it already come with 11 by default? And you don't have a secondary BIOS AFAIK.

Your cards aren't listed for a bios update. I wouldn't try it sry to say you might brick your cards.

If you mean the BIOS switch, it is directly next to the power connectors.

Also comes an update for my card with the number: 08G-P4-6286-KR To be exact it is EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING, 08G-P4-6286-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, ACX 3.0 & RGB LED Or can ih from another map also the bios test. How would it be, for example, With the bios of a CLASSIFIED ACX 3.0? The current can draw the card according to Bios is to be 320 watts. What can happen? The card has 2x bios. And will now rebuild them on water cooling.

Alright just backed up my master, slave Bios threw GPUZ, made 3 folders for master, slave, and for the newly modified bioses. Placed all bioses into correct folders with screenshots just to be organized. Flash successful and proceeding to do some benchy's to check performance and stability. Okay I flashed the the slave bios with the switch to the right close to my power cables and both bios run at 5512 mem clock lol. I didn't flash my GPU with the switch to the left. Time to verify why that is.. I also rebooted my PC .

Flashing is incredibly simple now with these all in one packages. You USED to have to load the cap yourself and do the process manually. . . you literally can't mess it up unless you're an idiot.

I'm getting the same thing. Though it does not seem to affect performance as far as I can tell. Getting the same numbers as their benchmarks here in the forums and seems stable.

Do you have the FTW2? I am being conservative with a GPU core clock at +60 offset and I will upload my results tomorrow.

I upgraded my SC2s: - 3dMark Time Spy before the bios upgrade: 11121
- 3dMark Time Spy after the bios upgrade: 11186
It might not be the most representative benchmark, but it's a little faster. I also did a stress test after, and it was stable, so all good.

these bios must also adjust timings because i flashed back to my stock bios ran the exact same clocks and got around 800 points less on 3dmark firestrike at exact same clocks.
