System Specs: Windows 7 Professional, EVGA GTX Hybrid 980ti (radiator orientation with hoses on bottom, fan mounted on back of Antec 900 case), Intel i7 6700K, Noctua DH-15, Single SSD, EVGA 1050G PSU, dual ASUS VG248QE Displays w/ 2xDisplay Port Cables)
My kid was playing Minecraft with Optifine+SEUS Shaders Mod 1.9.2 and after an hour or so, my screens (dual 144 Hz Asus VG248QE) started flickering and screen tearing... My 980 ti Hybrid GPU Temp was in the 80's C and had hit 90C at some point while playing the game. I turned off Minecraft, opened the case and cooled the card down with a desk fan then turned off the system for a bit... started it back up and it's sitting at 55C to 60C without load now. The fan is working, the radiator seems to be working, but there's no way I can tell if the liquid is circulating... seems to be ok without load. The screen flickering went away, I'm only using 1 screen atm though. I didn't do anything to the fan profile, perhaps I need to change the settings in Precision x16? I left it on Auto thinking EVGA knew what it was doing out of the box.
I was thinking about RMA'ing the card and buying AMD. I've only owned this card for a few weeks and literally this was the first time to play a game with ultra high spec requirements. Disappointed in Nvidia. This is the 3rd build this month, all Nvidia cards (RMA'd 2 other 970's and decided to go 980 at double the cost). I've had nothing but problems. Any comments, appreciated. Thanks.
