I ordered a new card so I'll apply for this. But what is the advantage of a backplate? Other than looking really cool?

I have a question ... if i buy this product EVGA 04G-P4-2975-KR GeForce GTX 970 and then register to EVGA Asia website will i get the backplate promotion offer ? also Does EVGA ship the plate to INDIA , as i am from India and purchasing the product from Newegg .

I dont think you will be able to get it because basically they are sending a card from US hence it has a US based serial .
May be you should order from amazon.in . Then you will be entitled for that.
I'm not sure . Contact evga about this.

The backplate promotion says that they will ship in November and it also says that STEPUP 970s will automatically ship with a backplate does this mean we have to wait until November to get our step up cards? I would apretiate an answer. Thanks.

We will likely start shipping the backplates before November (not confirmed yet, but likely) so this shouldn't be an issue pending stock on the 970s available for Step-Up.

I started a Step-Up from my GTX770 SC ACX to the new GTX 970 ACX 2.0 (Plus Backplate thanks EVGA), but its been 2 weeks now since i uploaded the invoice...... 
Is it usual to wait this long for approval? Any help would be great!

Well buddy Asia region [ asia.evga.com/articles/00876/EVGAs-Got-Your-Back/ ] also offers same , that is why i am asking here that they ship to ASIA Address or not . Cause i am so much interested with that SSC Edition [ 04G-P4-2975-KR ]  but without back plate i will not go to purchase it .

I have a small problem requesting the backplate, i just purchassed a 970 ssc and the site say "This promotion is not available in your region." but Switzerland is listed in the region above?
Is they anything that you could do?
