WTH those of us showing love to the blower style coolers get no backplate? If any card needs a backplate it'd be the short pcb blower cards with their flimsy plastic extension holding the fan. Come on evga hook a brother up :) Hell I even paid more than some that are getting backplates 04G-P4-1972-KR PLEASE

But it is only till 11/9/14 and I'm in the Step Up queue. Will I get my 970 FTW in time, to receive the backplate? And what, if not?

We have just updated the article.  All Step-Up requests submitted before 11/9/14 will ship with the backplate automatically (while supplies last).  Nothing needs to be submitted on the article page if you have a Step-Up Request.

Anyone from EVGA, is there any idea if the 970 FTW will actually be in stock here at EVGA before this promotion ends? I have EVGA bucks from more than 2 years of folding and want to get a 970 FTW but even though I started checking out immediately upon it coming into stock twice Wednesday it was out of stock before I could complete the check out process and it hasn't been in stock since.
 
I know the 970 FTW is in heavy demand right now because many people are unhappy with the quality of the cooler on the other ACX 970s, but going out of stock twice in less than 3 minutes points to not just high demand but incredibly inadequate supply. If literally sitting on the product page and refreshing as it came into stock doesn't get me a card then what hope is there of actually getting one before this promotion ends?

Just registered for my free backplate! I do have concerns about it though. Is it possible that the backplate will raise the temperature of the card?

What am I missing? I can't find the place to actually request my backplate on the web page for it. My card is registered to my account and is eligible but I don't see the 'form' that the text refers to in order to request my backplate.

The backplate promotion says that they will ship in November and it also says that STEPUP 970s will automatically ship with a backplate does this mean we have to wait until November to get our step up cards? I would apretiate an answer. Thanks.

I just ordered 2x ACX 2.0 cards on Amazon, going to cancel the order if this is the case, will go with ASUS instead.
 
EDIT: Just saw the post from Rob saying it should work, will keep the order for now. However I'm wondering with the 1-2 month wait on Amazon what happens if the cards don't arrive in time to register before the promo ends?

Amazon invoices show the date ordered. I have an Amazon Fire HD 7 Kids Edition pre-ordered for my 2 year old daughter. Release date is not until October 21st, however I just looked at the order now and can view the invoice which states I ordered it on September 17th, so your invoice will have the correct date.. whether EVGA will accept it after the promotion date ends is the question though, yeah..
