I can confirm that after over two weeks of "shipped" status on my two backplates; they finally found their way to Norway. I'll post pics once they're on my WCed FTWs.

I just got approved for my step-up to the gtx 970 acx 2.0.  Will it ship with the backplate?  I request the step-up back on 10/7/14 and it just got approved today.  Will EVGA ship it with a backplate since i request the step-up before the promo end?

 Have written a few days ago EVGA. They thought my backplate should arrive no later than today. Well, my mailbox was empty ...   great promotion

If you are unable to track a package, then your best bet is to just be PATIENT and wait. There's ZERO way EVGA can accurately tell you when an item will be in your mailbox if they don't have tracking information either.

Well just a small update from me in regards to the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming cards I bought (I got tired of EVGA and their support, see previous posts, not gonna repeat myself).

Anyways, I received my two GTX 970 G1 Gaming cards 2 weeks ago, however one was having issues, therefor had to send it back, but was without problems. Now I have been playing a bit with the cards and I must admit, the build quality of the cards is very, very good (especially comparing it EVGA's line-up). Cooling is bigger and better, 6+8 pin PCIe connectors (more power = more OC options). The box contents was pretty disappointing, but who cares about that? I rather have two good cards, than a crappy cards and a box full of "goodies". Haha.

Already have them both at 1541 mhz (boost), but I still need more tweaking. Maybe I will edit the ROM with custom voltages. So far I am pretty happy. My previous (higher end) EVGA cards, were 2x GTX 970 FTW, I couldn't get them over ~1420 mhz, no matter what I tried. At first I was in doubt to switch brands, especially when 1 card was (kinda) DOA (or at least crippled) from Gigabyte, but in the end I am more than happy with this purchase. Maybe EVGA should European customers the same as their US customers....? If they did that, they would still have me as a customer. I already sold all my EVGA branded videocards because of this bad experience.

Oh and for those interested; the ASIC quality of Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming cards. Though the first card wasn't working properly, I still could see the ASIC quality, which was really bad: 50.8%!
However the working card and the new one have ASIC quality of: 82.6 % and 87.3%
(both serial numbers were pretty close, so probably got lucky)

Also run very cool, around 60 - 61 degrees Celsius... So I probably can squeeze more out of the cards, but need to fine tune it further. :)

ich finde dafür das die 970 SC AXC2.0 auch mit neuem Netzteil egal welcher marke (EVGA, Corsair, Bequit!) Spulenpfiepen hatt hätte man die Aktion ruig bis ende des Jahres laufen können -.-

Perhaps EVGA would be better off just selling these at a profit and charging end users for tracked and confirmed international air mail? Would probably solve most everyone's gripes.

I know I'd gladly purchase two today... if they were in stock. Aside from that I'd also happily trade not being able to get anything for blindly waiting weeks on a free unit.

Or just maby EVGA should have the backplates installed from factory like ASUS does, i would have no problem paying 15-20$ extra if the card hade it from start. Now i missed the free promo and the plate is out-of stock in EU so i couldn't get one even if I wanted to.
 
BUT a really friendly user here on the forums sold his backplate to me so soon ill have one in the post office for me to collect. Thanx! :)

Please understand that if your backplate says that it was shipped then it was mailed to you. Please allow a little extra time for the shipments to come through due to the holidays. If anyone for any reason does not receive their backplate by the first week of January then please email me and I will look further into this for you. chrisb@evga.com

For the curious mine still hasnt arrived, I see it as EVGA's fault for been cheap on the shipping to not do tracking so if its not here by the 7th jan I will request another at their expense.

I have also tired of it. Since 3 weeks and 5 mails EVGA says to me I should wait. The backplate would loudly mail to 100% before Christmas for me. The year is ending and I still have no one !!!! Great action EVGA.
 
Here in Germany backplates are sold in the forums, because some have gotten a multiple delivery.

Remember on November 7th for the action. Status since December on Shipped ... ..

Another week and EVGA it still does not get out. Supposedly it is the management review, but has not much else brought. For 3 days is not replied to my RMA ....
