Happy I saw this before installing my new card. Won't have to repeat the uninstalling old drivers part twice. This is awesome guys!

The only thing this bios revision changes is the fan properties, correct? There's no extra unlisted changes?

Yes the uninstalling drivers part is really important! If you do not uninstall the driver first, during the update procedure the screen will go all black or white, and you will have to reboot. (Card is fine though)

My antivirus quarantined the update file so I had to restore it but its good to go now. thanks

From 29 c to 33 c in the anandtech review of Evga gtx 970 Ftw that test the beta bios with zero fan feature. Great value the Evga support and fast fix of the issue. Thanks

I don't think this will be possible for a GTX 780.

So does it match the beta version tested by Anand? With 0% Idle and a target temperature of 73°C? If this is confirmed, I would order a 970FTW.

How do I know the firmware update was successful? Where do I check to make sure it is on the current on?

In my case it just ended without saying anything (so no black screen failure). I restarted my computer and checked the fans. They were no longer on (so it was successful). Then I reinstalled my drivers.

It's more for all the other people who complained since the cards release that the other guys like ASUS provide it, so why doesn't EVGA. So they too added it. I upgraded from a 470 and I've never had my room this quiet before. It really makes a difference.

I am looking foward to hearing about these bios updates when they are avalible. It would be nice if we (those of us that have our products registered, but that dont check for something like bios updates on a gpu) could get emails when these types of things come out.
