what $700? Plus 9.7% tax for me. I think I'll skip then.
Rather get regular one from newegg + aftermarket waterblock from EK.

even though this one does not say FTW on it, it is overclocked more then the SC ones from factory... so you figure 150 for the block and 50 for the OC + warranty.. IMHO it's worth it.

jacob, this is kind of an odd ball question, but what TIM is used on the block? just wondering if I'm gonna have to pull them apart to put some PK-1 on it

yeah but in my area the tax is 9.7% if I buy it directly from eVGA. That's almost an extra $70 slap in the face + shipping not free either.
But if amazon will have the hydro copper in-stock, I would get it right away. $700 and done.

If I get the $499 version from Amazon/Newegg, shipping is free for 2-days shipping on both and tax is only 7% for newegg + no tax for amazon.
Then I'll get the EK waterblock from performancepcs.com only $128 shipped w/ priority mail.
Total saving is around $150.

Also, this has a 8+6 power design which will allow for more power for OCing. Basically, it is a GTX 680 SC Signature + Waterblock and Backplate. There is a $200 between this one and the vanilla version. Remember, with that you get a $160 Swiftech waterblock (EK's blocks are $115/$125) and essentially a GTX 680 SC Signature + Backplate (which will probably be priced around $539.99-$549.99). So it is actually a pretty good deal since those Swiftech waterblocks are top-notch in watercooling.

To Jacob, I found an error on hydro copper website.
System requirements says it needs 2x 6 pin power connector. It should be 6 pin + 8 pin connectors.

Block $160 + (recommended) Backplate $20 = $180 + $520 680 SC = $700

Difference is, Hydro edition has a little higher clocks.

Am I missing something? How is EVGA changing the power req? Does this mean that the 8+6 and 8+8 connector cards will have a bios that allows more than 1.2v? Please explain Jacob, I'm just trying to figure out on a card that dynamically changes speeds, what is the point of more wattage input? Are you saying that the more wattage that is available the higher the peak clock could be?

I know its very expensive but if you think about it and add up all the costs from getting different parts from different places its good pricing.

EVGA GTX 680 = $500
GTX 680 EK waterblock = $128
EVGA GTX 680 Backplate = $20
OC to 1150Mhz + 4 Compression Fittings (+SLI Bridges)* + Factory Fitted Waterblock = $52

You could buy all these different parts from different online stores and you'll end up paying more or very little less on all the shipping and taxes for each one. Also if you ever needed to RMA the card there is no need for taking off the whole waterblock and put on the default one which could take a few hours.

*@Jacob are the SLI brides included?...oh please say yes! lol

First time I played Skyrim I followed a rabbit into a woddy area on a snowy mountain and punched the poor thing to death and got lost.

Voltage is the same, but there are other tweaks to allow the board to scale higher.

Yes, I tried the link you provided and also tried going to the store itself.
Works now not that it matters. Will this go for sale at FrozenCPU or PerformancePCs at all? Really need USPS as carrier.
