Semester is over, made 2 A's and 2 B's. So I'm happy with that lol.
I'm still looking for the replacement monitor.

I just had a quick question.

Why is my Card getting so hot at stock speeds and default Global Configurations on the Nvidia panel?

I know that for me it is normal to Idle at 28C or even 30C But my computer right now is 39-41C on Idle.

I haven't played no games or ran any applications in the past 2 hours other than Firefox and watching a few videos on youtube. So it makes no sense that I would idle at 39C and with my fan profile the fan is at 47%.

I haven't changed anything, and I have had it on this same Fan profile since I got it, never have I had high Idle temps. 
Like I said, everything is stock from Precision to the Global Settings Panel.

This is new, it has never happened to me. My case is well ventilated.

I even Manually set the fan to 70 % for just like 2 minutes but it didn't go below 38C 
Any ideas why is it doing this?

NOTE: I forgot to mention, i have the latest official NVIDIA driver which came out yesterday I believe. I also have K Boost Disabled.

GPU Clock & Voltage within precision should read 324MHz & 987Mv if the card is truly in it's idle state. If you see anything other than 324MHz for the GPU Clock & 987Mv for the voltage then the card is not in it's true idle state.

Nah, he has it disabled according to the last few words of his post, though likely an addition in response to your query.

 
No, is not an addition to his query. However oddly enough I did find a post after a google search where Baltothewolf suggested the same fix to someone else with this issue. So  after I read that post I made sure to disable K Boost. Funny he found this thread as well.

Okay, so here is what happened. I just turned on my computer this morning. It is 10AM, all I have done is Check my email accounts and that's it! Now my Temperatures are still Idle right off the bat very, very high.I'm at 38C with 47% Fan Speed.
Is all set on Default. However my GPU Clock is stock at 1005Mhz and my voltage at 1125MN.
 

EDIT: I uninstalled and Reinstalled EVGA Precission and that seemed to do the trick for now . My Voltage and Clock speeds are back to normal amount as they should be. In fact with my fan at 40% I'm idleing at 26C .
 
I do wonder what was causing the problem at first?

Well, mine is definitely not in idle....
 
I kid you not, it has being Stock at the same Temperature and Clock/Voltage for the past 30 minutes. I don't understand, all I'm doing is browsing the web.  Driver 310.70

 
Dang thing hasn't moved more than 1c in the past 30 minutes. Only thing I've changed on the Global Panel is that I have Power Management Set to "Prefer Maximum Performance" but this is normal.
 
 
I have nothing running on the background, not even Steam app.

I set Power Management in the Global Nvidia Panel back to "Adaptive" and 5 minutes later my Idle temperatures went back to normal, which is 27c-28c with fan at 36%
 
Why would Power Management Mode set to "Prefer Maximum Performance"  do this, I don't know, but perhaps is a glitch, because I don't think this is normal for it to do this when the PC is only idle.
I guess I'll just set it to Maximum Performance manually depending on what I'll be doing.

I bet it's because of the web browser you are using. If you would like to take full control over your GPU try THIS, it will allow you to force your card into max performance mode or idle state whenever you choose to do so.
 
Did getting your new monitor fix your original issue?
