If you're looking to buy classys, who cares about a high price? Give me a voltage unlocked 4gb card and myself, as well as many others will buy multiple.

I love EVGA but word is that the 680 classy will be 650$ or possibly more.   The MSI lightning 680 was also at computex and it has..guess what....unlocked voltage...

So this will make competition spicy for sure!   Its gonna come to price for me.  I love the classys but if the lightning is cheaper, it could well be equal or better since it has a better cooler.   The 580 lightnings were insanely good, and generally were the best overclocking 580s on the market.

Wow that is interesting. Not sure it will be worth the inevitable high price over the GTX 690. Still 4gb of usable ram would be nice future proofing.

I hope the MSI lightning 680 gives competition and forces the prices down a bit.....650-700 for this card will be insane....

The lightning also will be voltage unlocked, word is that pricing will be 570-600$

    EVGA deleted the thread .;)

I think this Asus MARS III card might have a leg up on the EVGA 2WIN card if it has 4GB of usable VRAM and the 2WIN only has 2GB. I think maybe even voltage control. Although, the MARS III is going to be priced astronomically, we are talking $1500-$2000 MSRP. The GTX 580 MARS was $1500.

True that.   The mars 3 will be super hard to find (also costing  an arm and a leg), i'm guessing the 2win will be easier to locate and thus probably wins by default.

I'm hedging my bets on the Lightning and classified cards - whatever is cheaper gets my $.   I certainly love EVGA but I don't look forward to 650$-700$ x 2 + 99$ for EV Bot to SLI them...if lightning can do the same thing with voltage control for 6 hundy..hmm..it will be tempting

Hahaha this MARS III is disgusting design for me I swear in god I hate card like this.
But never mind I don't want talk about little ASUS, I come to congratulation for EVGA GTX680 Classified design. EVGA again do good job, Of course that card is to exspensive for me and probably I will never touch best GTX680 on the world.
But for me is enough one GTX580 Classified, not new of course and after build Z77 FTW - 3770K I will try to buy one if someone want to sell in good condition.
I hope GTX680 Classified will make new Extreme Record.
And this card MARS II, III, MATRIX. I wish to have MARS III only for one reason to change for GTX680 Classified.

    Excellent

I don't think you can do a 4-way hydro in that case and they are blower type cards so they vent exhaust outside the case so it should be fine

They make connection block that can let you chain the 4 cards together for Water cooling.  I am using one for my tri-SLi setup.  You never have to worry about "fitting" the tubes there.

Hrmm, do all 3 of those 8-pin connectors need be used to power this GPU, or is the third only for extreme overclocking?

    There are only 2.

Check the back side shot, the PCB has 2 x 8 pin solder connections.
