Hello, I'm trying to get the white LED lights to work, where it's written the name of the card. This is what it looks like : My GPU has white LEDs on the side. I tried with the Precision XOC software but the "Appearance LED" is greyed out. EVGA Precision X1 doesn't have the LED option on the top of the software. I don't know what to do. I built the computer yesterday with brand new parts (ryzen 7 3700x, 850W PSU, MSI x750 board). I also downloaded NVIDIA's LED Visualiser v1.3 but that doesn't work either. Do I have to RMA the card ? I really would be disappointed if I had to.

In that case, why does it say on the 08G-P4-5671-KR manual that this GPU has White LED Logo ? :( https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=1b36599d-eec9-4de1-8f3a-80998ed252d7
It says " LED Logo: Yes (White)"
I do not know what that is all about .. I'll try to do more searching on that part number & see if it is really a "Black Edition" I'm not sure why it says Black Edition looking at that link. "Black Edition GPUs do Not have the same LED layout.. that is why they are "Black Edition"

It should have a white LED... Here are builds with photos of the same GPU : https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Mhw6Mp or https://pcpartpicker.com/b/4mjypg You can see that the white logo is lit up.

I checked what I could find https://asia.evga.com/products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-5671-KR https://www.evga.com/support/specs/ GTX 1070 Ti - 08G-P4-5670-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING, 08G-P4-5670-KR, 8GB GDDR5
- 08G-P4-5671-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti SC GAMING, 08G-P4-5671-KR, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & Black Edition
- 08G-P4-5678-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING, 08G-P4-5678-KR, 8GB GDDR5, SC HYBRID & LED
- 08G-P4-6678-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW ULTRA SILENT GAMING, 08G-P4-6678-KR, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0
- 08G-P4-6775-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 GAMING, 08G-P4-6775-KR, 8GB GDDR5, iCX - 9 Thermal Sensors & RGB LED G/P/M
I did Not see a 1070 Ti "Black Edition" specifically listed - (other that what is on that specific GPU part number description 08G-P4-5671-KR) this is odd - "08G-P4-5671-KR, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & Black Edition" Which EVGA software X1 or XOC are you trying to use ... & version number ? I use the EVGA XOC for my 10 series cards

I've controlled the intensity of LEDs with this product, on other GeForce cards The Logo LEDs can be increased or decreased in intensity with ocscannerX Open settings --go to -- GeForce LED Logo control --- select Manual ---- In Manual setting box choose (100) -- Apply --- OK If it is set to 100 and the LED does not work correctly, something might be broken or not connected ... Find software here: https://www.evga.com/ocscanner/

Windows 10 might not want to play nice with ocscannerX -- (I've only used in with Win 7 Pro PCs) I ran XOC 6.2.3 with my 1080 Ti FTW3 XOC 6.1.14 on my Rig AIO Folding What happens when you click the button circled in Red ?

Make sure the LED connector on the PCB is fully seated, reseat it..It's the 2-pin at the top-right of this image near the 8-pin power connector..You can disassemble the card to get at it if you have to, but maybe you can access it without doing that..EVGA allows you to disassemble their cards without voiding the warranty as long as you don't damage anything in any way in the process..If it still don't work, Contact EVGA Customer Service about an RMA or return it to wherever you bought it from.

So I assume we're talking about this pin here : I will try and see. Is there a manual or video tutorial on how to disassemble this GPU ?

So disassembled the GPU by taking off the 4 screws and had a look. Everything seemed normal. (I took this opportunity to also change thermal paste on the chip.) What can I do know ? Is it really worth doing an RMA for a LED that's not working ? :thinking_emoji: Another information : I'm planning on buying RTX 3080 when it comes out.

Yeah, that's the LED header/connector. A -KR suffix means it has a 3-year warranty..Check the EVGA homepage -> Member -> My Products -> View Details to see if it's under warranty. If you RMA it to EVGA, you'll pay shipping to them and they'll pay return shipping to you..I guess it's really up to you if you want to RMA it, or return it to where you bought if from if you can.

This card is actually already an RMA card. It dates back to early 2019, so it's about 1.5 years old. My initial card was bought in 2018 and after 10 months I had it RMA'd due to one of the fans making a weird noise. I guess i'll send a support ticket and see what they will say. Do I specify that I took the shroud off to check if the pin was connected ?
This would mean that I will RMA this card twice. I never had such a problem with other brands, but at least I had great experience with EVGA support.

Yeah, tell them all what you did with software and disassembly too. EVGA support is the best.

Probably not the same GPU as you returned last time. Of course you should let EVGA know your troubleshooting to save time. I think your decision should rest on whether or not the GPU is a stellar performer. If it's just an average overclocking, I might try the lottery RMA and see if I get a better one...on the other hand, you could get a dud that won't run a mhz over stock.

Currently my GPU is at +200Mhz GPU Clock and +300Mhz Mem Clock, which is okayish. Honestly since i will be buying the new RTX 3000 series when they come out (in september/october 2020?) this means that I will no longer have use for this card in about 2 months.. EVGA has responded to me and have asked me to kindly RMA the card. I will take a few days to think it through.
