So, thought I'd give this AIO and RGB stuff a try with another Folding power house project. 
 
Build is all about making a Nice looking Rig & not a boring box with the Horse Power for Folding 24x7
 
Folding Power is ALL about the GPU and since colder is faster I chose to use 2 (two) EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid

 
 
CPU Cooler EVGA CLC 240 Liquid / Water CPU Cooler, RGB LED Cooling 400-HY-CL24-V1
 

 
 
 
 
PSU  EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 80+ PLATINUM 1200W, Fully Modular 220-P2-1200-X1 --> Because for 24x7 Folding Only the BEST PSU is Good Enough
 
CPU   Intel i7-5930K - 15M Cache, up to 3.70 GHz - you need the PCIe lanes
 
 
MB Asus Rampage V Edition 10 (RGB)

 
 
Case  Thermaltake View 71 RGB
 
 
 
 
G.Skill DDR4 RAM  (My favorite brand) F4-3000C15Q-32GRK

    Got to LOVE those EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrids-- bench testing shows how Powerful these are
     
    My cards - room is 8C - Cards are fully loaded 80-90% Folding

    That is 3 GPUs with no gaps or the temps would be better
    [also testing a Titan X Pascal - stock cooler at the same time before it goes into Nibbler w/ water block]

    Nvidia Boost 3.0 --> sure does love a Cold GPU
     
    pics below - room is 8 C - Cards are fully loaded 80-90% Folding - for weeks at 30 C & 31 C --> that's a temperature Delta of 22-23C above ambient (room) temp
     
    checked again --> room 13C, GPU fan running near Max = 35 C ---> still 23C above ambient

    At least I will have one for this Years TZC But Name No Hold to the PPD you are running ATM

    A room temp of 8C is excellent for a folding rig.

    Saves on the heating bill; just open window & hope all the neighbors are not burning wood on a smokey setting or the wind direction is Good
     
    The secret folding lair is the bonus room above my garage .... summer time presents real issue though on the second floor - all the cold air ends up on the first floor they way my house is built.  I see a nice efficient split AC system and possibly some spray foam in the ceiling in my future.
     
    current summer fix:  Hey honey, since we don't use the formal dinning room much .........
     
    Now that folks is an understanding spouse & helps smooth the way to spend to upgrade the AC in time

    Well I have hit a new rank (second highest rank for me) on the folding position #56 in the World. 
     
    Some Curecoin Folders will make that short lived in a couple of days.
     
    Might be time to get this project rolling & take down my GPUs on the bench top testing Rig
     
    The case is huge and the Hybrid hoses are a limiting factor, going to have to get creative
     
    So, what do you want to See ?  Progress pictures along the way or just photos when it is done ?

    I was going to start the build last weekend
     
    --- but the current WU are giving so many points -- I cant stand the thought of turning it off long enough to put it in the case

    thought I'd finally make a build that is EVGA AIO based with some LED eye candy included
     
    the View 71 has glass on 4 sides, that will force me to put more effort into hiding wires
     
    The case is huge and the FTW3 Hybrid hoses are a limiting factor, going to have to get creative ---> I've got a good idea on how to make this work
     
    as a side note, thought I could help more forums members if I owned some EVGA AIO products to play with firsthand

    Found both cards during July - August 2017 time frame, before the current shortage.
     
    Same limit for me, could only buy one from EVGA, snagged the second one on newegg cause it was in-stock and shipping was reasonable

    Sandwiching the front intake fan between two clear acrylic blocks to hold the FTW3 Radiators far enough back in the case to work with the stock hoses. 
     
    Figuring-out how to bolt it all together was a little tricky.

    Where did you find them clear acrylic blocks for the Fans?


     
     
    I bought them from Performance-pcs 120x120x20mm "shroud" from phobya
     
    Note: ID is on the SMALL side -- the opening for the fan is smaller than any of my 120mm fans

     
    There are holes allowing an option to install some 5mm LEDs for more "bling"
     
     
    I thought they would look better with the LED Fan lighting, than black donor fan bodies I had planned on using for spacers before I found these. 
     
     
    I had also ordered - Phobya Shroud & Decoupling 120mm (7mm thickness)  - (don't waste your time)
    These are smaller in outside dimensions - than any fan or radiator I tried "Designed for 120mm fans" ?

     
    Phobya's website is a Joke - "Requires Adobe Flash" hard to use, barely functions ... tried to find some details before ordering, site lacks details.

    I have the same TT View 71 and I would like to install the EVGA FTW3 Hybrid 1080TI (SLI). Are you still happy with the Phobia clear acrylic blocks? Which fan did you install between both blocks? Maybe a thicker fan (e.g. 30mm instead of 20mm) is better for the tubes? 
    Regarding the additional fan - is it important that the fan have nearly the same technical data as the original fan?

    Like I said earlier; Phobia blocks are on the small side for the ID - so not perfect airflow, but it works. 

    I did not want to "open up" the clear blocks as they would become cloudy
     
    I have since gutted an additional fan per radiator, to add even more of a step back and relieve any pressure on the hoses.  I need to update the photos
     
    Currently:   25mm spacer (old fan gutted), Phobia block, new fan, Phobia block, Radiator, & fan
     
    Best to have matching fans.  I'm pressurizing the radiator with the front fan pushing a little more CFM

    Thanks... maybe it's better to find a smaller tower where I can install the radiator directly in the front. Best with a mesh front panel for better airflow.

    As it is a Folding Rig .... busy Folding 24/7 ... can't take it apart ... I'll try to explain how I did it though - with couple pictures & text
     
    In photos above you'll see fan + 1 block is bolted to the radiator ---> then from front of case ---> bolt front block through to the fan
     
    Went to the local hardware store & bought SS screws, washers, lock washers & hex-nuts  --- adjusted length so I did not cause damage to rad
     
    This required some strategic slots in the fan mounting holes -- so I could install the longer screws & notches for the washers to sit flat
     
    I'll dig through my phone for more "detailed photos" if I have any
     
    I did add one more spacer (old fan body) to the front clear block to push radiator further back, removing any strain on those AIO hoses
     
    The "new" extended spacer is bolted to case frame with standard fan screws
     
    Right click any of the photos above ---select view image -- goes to imgur -- you can then enlarge them
     
    More Photos soon as I can; but for now this will have to do (uploaded direct to EVGA site)
     
    Side mounting the rads, suction line is the bottom one, top line is from pump -- pressure line

    This should help explain the way I mounted the Spacers & Fans to the radiator
     
     
    1) FTW3 Radiator + Clear block #1 + LED Fan (screw through fan base, then clear block & into radiator)
     
    2) Black spacer (old donor fan) on flange + Clear block #2 --> bolted to "other side" of LED fan (see hex-nut & washer on LED fan)

    3) Whole assembly is mounted to case using standard black "fan screws"
     
    4) Stock FTW3 radiator fan on far left side of radiator
     
    Note:  Getting those long screws to "fit" into the fan flange required angling the mounting hole at a 45 degree angle in one direction.
