Thanks for the continued support.  I've been hoarding bucks for a while for pascal.
Not sure why anyone would quit folding just because the thresholds increased.  The electricity cost is no concern of mine.  I pay 80 a month or so, maybe 10-20 is folding.  EVGA bucks are a perk, not really close to covering out of pocket expenses.  I fold mostly 24/7 when I'm not gaming, its the least I can do for a good cause.  Always gonna have a power bill, I'm not gonna sweat it going towards the greater good.

I'm gonna walk away from this one. You're asking too much for too little in return.

So what other Folding Team will you Join that will pay you Bucks like EVGA while you are helping to find a Cure?
The Cure is why we Fold not the Bucks.

I will fold for a team that appreciates whatever I can contribute without making demands of my output by trying to dangle a carrot from a stick to motivate me.

You're joking, right?
It takes me 3 days to earn 1.5m with 2 970s, so around 6 days to make it to 3m. And that's with both card running non-stop on top of them running @ 1506MHz
You have 2 980s, shouldn't take you no more then 4 days max

Hey that's good info to know. I have a pair of 680s and it takes me ~10 days to meet the 1.5m goal from last year. So it'll take me ~20 days to meet 3.0m I have about $470 bucks saved up. I'm thinking that 980 VR edition is looking mighty fine. I might wait a couple months to earn $500 bucks total and pull the trigger on the upgrade. Going from SLI to single card would be a bummer, but I might throw a 680 in there just to fold with. And "hand-me-down" the other card to my younger brother.

If I were you I would just want until Pascal comes out, by then cards may drop in price or the new ones will out perform then and you would have enough (or nearly enough) to get the flagship

I feel like 3 million is a tad high, putting it out of reach for some folders stuck on older hardware. That said, I appreciate the EVGA bucks I earn. Slowly they'll add up to enough to make buying a card direct worth it as a Canadian.

I like folding, even if I can't be doing it 24/7.

Their fault and their problem for still being on older hardware
If they're folding for the bucks and still rocking 400/500 series cards then they need to rethink their priorities

Tip o' the Pimphat to you fine folks at EVGA for the continued support of the greatest freaking folding team on the planet! I can't wait to see what the Pascal chips do to our numbers when they HOPEFULLY drop later this year.

I am trying to claim my folding points from February 2016 but the link buttons don't appear on the year 8 page.  I had claimed all the points from previous months but I can't claim 02-2016???  I can already see the March 1.5M request button but the previous year doesn't seem active.  Help!! please, as I am about to cash in my bucks for a shiny new 980 Ti to upgrade my 480GTX SLI set and start really making points.

Could you give this link a try: http://www.evga.com/folding/MyFoldingYear8.asp

I don't have any bucks to claim for year 8, so I am not sure if it is an error with the claim button or just the page link not working for you. I can see the page for yesr 8 at least.

I did forward this up to Rob, just in case there is further issues that I can not see.

That is also an exciting new upgrade :-)

Thanks Scarlet-Tech and ROB!!  That was quick and it worked great.  Requests are in.  Thanks for the quick fix.

I'm looking forward to the new GC, but I wish I could float the Hydro Copper version like my existing 480's.  $800 is just too much right now, especially since the base and boost clocks are set slower than the air cooled Classified which is $110 cheaper!!.  I thought the  liquid cooled solution would be capable of the highest clocks with heat margin to spare over the air cooled versions.

You have to ignore the clocks, honestly. Gpu boost 2.0 can easily push the card up to match the classified and may even outperform it. They are just numbers.

I would have to Fold for 5 years to upgrade to a video board that meets my standards. The 1.5 million 10 EVGA buck reward helped offset my electric bill. Now you're asking me to go into the hole while my wallet and savings gets siphoned by my power company. The only thing I've upgraded was my wardrobe with EVGA T-shirts. I got a better way to get my equipment upgraded, shut it off and save the electricity that running a video board to Fold burns up.

You would have to fold for 5 years to upgrade to a video board that meets your standards?

First, the EVGA bucks are an incentive. They are in no way meant to be enough to pay for a new graphics card on their own every time Nvidia releases a new generation.

So your 5 year comment only shows how you misunderstand the folding rewards.

They are there solely to give you some small compensation to encourage you to continue to fold, so that we can use our extra processing power to hopefully cure some diseases.

If you're not doing it for that, you're doing it wrong.

Yes GPU is what you need to Fold On to get the Points needed.

Thank you for continuing the support, EVGA! I had quite a stockpile of EVGA bucks earlier this year but cashed them in to help several friends build or upgrade their machines. I think at one point I got a 4gb 960 FTW and 750w PSU for one friend and a GT 740 and 500w PSU for another setting me back a whopping $14 for shipping. I thank you again for being so supportive and my friends are thankful, too!

I'll keep the old 780s cranking while I wait and save up for pascal. :)

I'm in the same boat, it's great incentive for the 980 folks to not get complacent, but not so much for me.  I would fold regardless and appreciate the bucks, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly disappointed.  The 750 Ti FTW is no slouch, but 3M is way out of reach.

Oh well, still better returns than my interest on my savings account....

Thank you maj28 for Folding and under Team EVGA

Well I would say we are Not Complacent with our GTX 980 Cards we only update to the current technologies.
A lot of us Fold Full Time and that is why we buy newer cards to keep up with newer projects form Stanford.
Myself I now Fold 1/4 and Crunch 3/4 time with my hardware, call it self gaming.
I would be happy to give you (MattyMattMatt) my old GTX 690 Cards and even my GTX 780 Cards, I have already given away my GTX 680 Classified Graphics Cards.

By the way; Stanford has already told us users not to buy new hardware to Fold, they have stated that you Fold on OLD hardware.
But then none of us listen and got new hardware anyway, just like users who have 2P and 4P rigs that were built to run Big Advantage Tasks.
Now most 2P and 4P run some SMP Task but a lot of us now run BOINC tasks and are now Crunching Rigs. *But Not All Users Have Done This.

EVGA Bucks are only an extra to Folding and that is all, your thought for Folding is the Cure and Bucks are only an added bonus to the user.
Ask yourself if you only Fold for EVGA Bucks then the time to complete the amount needed should not bother you.
Now if you Fold for Finding a Cure then the time to complete each task becomes closer completion of finding that cure no mater how long it takes.

So if anyone wants to gauge how long it will take their card to fold 3m points, my pair of 680 FTW cards just finished after running for 15 days straight save for two computer lockups where I lost a couple hours. I suppose it depends on what work units I get but it's a rough estimate.

Were you running them set to FULL in the client software?
Are you running the current client software?
What do you have your Client Type Set to?
Did you have SLI Enabled or Disabled?
What Graphics Driver Version are you running?
Are is your Graphics Cards Overclocked?
And is your CPU Overclocked?

I have some 690 cards and everyone know that they are two GTX 680 GPU in one Graphics Card.
I will fire them up and see how long they take to complete 3 Million Points.

I have a better Idea DustoMan, I will do the same test using 2 GTX 980 Cards.
But I will fold for Both the 1.5 Million and the 3 Million for a total of 4.5 Million Points.
My CPU is Overclock but I WILL NOT Overclock my GPUs, my normal overclock setting for Folding is 1500MHz.
I have posted many times saying that Folding on the 6xx and below Graphics Card is not really worth the cost to power to Points so for the most part I do not Fold on them.
I do Fold once in a while on my GTX 780 Cards. It is an End Point of Points NOT EVGA BUCKS why I do not Fold on Older Cards.

You can review my running tasks here: HFM
  * Sub Total (Day 01 is really a half day)
Points as of:

Day 01)  03.17.16  341,624
Day 02)  03.18.16  786,879
Day 03)  03.19.16  787,454
Day 04)  03.20.16  818,695
Day 05)  03.21.16  796,925
Day 06)  03.22.16  638,959
Day 07)  03.23.16  564,658  *4,735,194 Test Completed Test Now Ended for the GTX 980 Cards.

So my compare shows me that the GTX 980 Cards (Stock Settings) are Two to Three Times Faster then your GTX 780 Cards.
I account this for two things 1) New GPU Core 2) Stanford Change in Projects for the Maxell and not so much for the older the older Kepler GPU Core.

Next Test I will see how long it will take Two AMD R9 290X Graphics Cards.
Why because I can and they have always beaten out the GTX 780 Cards when it come to Folding.
