You man have noticed several of the EVGA parts listed with "Dual" in the product name. These parts feature EVGA Double BIOS, learn more here: http://www.evga.com/articles/00767/ ** Important** Some users may see a new BIOS available for download at the My Products>View Details page. If your card features Double BIOS, and you DO NOT see this update, this means that the correct secondary BIOS is already applied at the factory! Also there is a giveaway! http://www.evga.com/articles/00771/

Jacob, we need a higher power target for the second Bios say 120-130, also would be nice to see higher voltage on software too.

Yes, on some cards the power target range is expanded on secondary BIOS. Expanded from the first BIOS or expanded from what is already on the 2nd BIOS if it has one? I think what we are saying is we need higher than 115% on the classy ;)

Yes the 780 Classified second bios only goes to 115 anyway to get that changed to say 130?

It is not expanded on 780 Classified. The secondary is already expanded. Also, ONLY the parts listed on that page have double BIOS.

I suggested creating an "EVGA Approved Bios Library" It would be a bit of work, but do testing on a few different bios versions (expanded power target to 130%, etc.) and "approve" them for use with the cards. This way users can change bios if they so choose. (a great feature about dual/tri bios) Empower the enthusiasts

So your saying the secondary 780 classified is already done? 115 power target is it?

I never understood the low Power Target on these things. Why make such a beefy card that can handle 1.5v+ (albeit with temps kept in check) and then lock the Power Target at 115%? Thank God for software voltage control again, that was a huge step in the right direction. But why force us to flash to a modded BIOS just to enjoy that 1.35v with software? Anyone who buys this card most likely knows enough to be able to flash the BIOS, but still. Why allow the card 1.35v with software and 1.5v with EVbot and then have it throttle at anything over 1.3v? Seems kind of counter-productive.

Interesting and very nice feuture to have, does this mean that custom bios's don't void the warranty anymore? I would use one Bios for stock settings since folding@home is sensitive to overclocking, and use the second bios for overclocked settings for games. but I wish I could switch between them in windows, having to shut down, open the case, and switch between them can be a hassle.

Not that I don't love seeing innovation, but why would evga start this double bios thing NOW, after most of the hardcore enthusiasts have already purchased multiple graphics cards with only ONE bios? :( I realize they'd love for us all to buy yet another set of graphics cards just to have the additional bios, and I realize that innovation has to continue, but I can't help but feel a little punished for being an "early" adopter. Furthermore, does this new second bios thing mean I can mess with the bios on my card without voiding my warranty? Or is that only for late adopters?

Seems kind of counter-productive. Because they charge more for the model with the voltage unlocked ("Classified"). Same principle Intel uses with the "K" and "X" cpu's. Of course, now allowing BIOS modification sort of flies in the face of this principle, so I really don't know what they're thinking now.

But as we all know, traditionally, flashing to a custom bios (or flashing to ANY bios) is the quickest way to void your warranty. So my question is can we now all flash our bios at will without voiding our warranty, or is that privilege reserved for those who waited 6 months to jump on the 700-series bandwagon?
