Hi EVGA forum members,

Has anyone here in the EVGA forum ever detached the CLC 360 or CLC 280 pump from the rest of the AIO to re-attach it to a custom cooling loop?
I am aware this would void warranty.

Would like to go for a custom loop but keep EVGA branding (CPU block).

I wouldn’t suggest it, because it is not the intended purpose of the pump to push fluid through a different radiator, and you risk algae growth due to old fluids and new fluids mixing. Even if you run a cleaning cycle, you may still enabled bacteria to get into the loop.

If you are willing to try, be aware that the tube internal diameter sizes may be different, so you may need to find a fitting that will work for the AIO and the radiator.

Again, I wouldn’t suggest it, but if you decide to do it, make sure to get lots of pictures.

I'm getting higher temps with the CLC 280 after I returned from a 1 month holiday for some odd reason (refitted the block 3 times).

I'll give it a try and document the "attempt" as soon as I get a temporary substitute cooling.
