Looking at the Z270 Stinger and am a bit concerned at the placement of the USB 3.0 header. It's right above the PCI-E slot with almost no clearance. Wouldn't this interfere with GPU backplates? EVGA always seems to struggle with their USB 3.0 header placements on smaller boards.

I check my e-mail every day to see if I can order the Classy K Z270 lol. I don't think I am alone here - I prefer the EVGA aesthetic to anything else out there otherwise I would have bought an ASUS or gigabyte. Their mobos appear to be designed visually to appeal to a much different type of person than me. They just look awesome like a black on black car.

It's released now. I'm Canadian too and who knows how long it'll be before Canadian Newegg gets it or if it will even be sold by them if it is. I ran into that issue with my DG-87 where it was sold on their site by a third party vendor who's service was... less than desireable? Honestly best bet is probably just to order it straight from EVGA if you live in the great white north.

By Any chance there will be Z270 M-ATX version like the X99 Micro2? The reason for it is I have a CASELABS Mercury S5 that only accepts M-ATX.. I don't want to go itx mode nor Full Case Mobo.. I am running 2X 1080 Classified DTW in SLI mode.. Just being curious about the M-ATX series...
I no longer own a Killer RIG except 2010 Mac Mini with old 30" Cinema Monitor until I build a new one... My daughter now owns EVGA Z370 Classified, i7-8700K CPU 3.70GHz, 16GB Dominator Corsair, 1650GTX GPU Black n White Case.

Besides the EVGA boards not having RGB leds/bling, what other specific useable additions do the other mobo's have?

Some prefer a good quality board that does the job and dont want to pay for pointless features such as RGB fan support and other random shizzle that isn't really necessary. EVGA boards are known for their specific clean style. Though the price hikes are concerning, seems like prices are shooting up across the board even with AM4 boards, i remember getting the 2nd to top end Z77 board from asus for about £130, now mid range boards are costing that much, only the lesser chipsets are any cheaper.

I was looking to buy the Z270 FTW K motherboard and I want to put 64GB of ram into it. There is a good deal on Corsair CMU64GX4M4C3000C15B, however I don't see it in the suggested CPU and Memory.
I see CMK32GX4M2A2400C14 is supported but runs at 2133Mhz. Unfortunately, that option will cost me $130 more.
Can I use the 3000Mhz ram and just lower the speeds like the 2400Mhz is being lowered to 2133Mhz?
I am going to use the 7700K processor which is in the list. I have a 700W ps. Was looking to buy the 1080 TI FTW3 when it becomes available. I am piecing together the system I want and was trying to get a total cost.
Thanks for any info on the ram.

The Corsair CMU64GX4M4C3000C15B worked. The bios clocked it down to 2133. I haven't tried overclocking it yet.
