Special K Which features in particular do you wish EVGA would have included on their Z270 boards that other brands did include?
Better onboard audio without having to spend $300 to get it Better software package (have you checked out ASUS audio software features) RGB with RGB headers (no ones forced to use them if they don't like RGB) 3D mounting spots ( allows more customizing) Would be nice to see evga make one motherboard per series, where they show some innovation or do something special. (all white motherboard etc)

AngryAce I value performance and customer service over bling but these are just boring plain jane boards with far less features than you will see in other mfg's boards at the same price point. Disappointing.
Yes, EVGA customer service is the best I've encounter by far. I'd rather have a more well built with higher quality hardware mobo than one that's of much cheaper parts. MSI & Gigabyte have more bling but are considered quite lower end quality and performance wise. This new Z270 Classified K is going to give Overclockers and Gamers a performance solid board with all the features and stability less the bling. According to the specs and new additions esp on the Classified K, it will be able go up against even the higher priced boards and come out crushing them. The new Classified K has all the most up-to-date features you would ever need. You're only trade is EVGA build quality and high stability, for bling. I'd much rather have the quality over the bling! I can get plenty of bling from my other accessories; led ram, led gpu, led fans, case leds, etc. IF you read the Classified K manual, you'll see that it does have quite a few (non-bling) leds albeit they are indicators but leds none the less.

The Classified K has one of the best onboard audio available. Creative Core3D AudioAvailable on EVGA Z270 Classified KAward-winning Creative Core3D Audio with built in audio shielding for superb sound. ___________________________________________________________________________ IF someone doesn't care for RGB on their mobo then why bother having them on a mobo at all, ergo the EVGA mobo's fit that nitche, no frills just well built high performance for Workstations, Overclockers and Gamers too. I would think most want a great higher component quality build motherboard like EVGA has over the asthetics. Besides, most of the RGB mobos get covered up by all the accessories. Its the accessories on top of it, led ram/led gpu/led cpu header, led fans that can be your RGB led bling. The whole thing with EVGA is just building the very best, highest quality performance stable motherboards at a reasonable price. You can buy cheaper quality bling boards but they're not going to hold up as well. I've read reviews and reports where someone just plugged a wire in to a USB header/power socket or mounted their gpu to their board but because it was made so thin, it easily cracked and broke. And to top all of that, IF you Overclock then you need the thicker board and higher quality parts for better performance and stability. I've bought the higher end ASUS mobo's for years but I went with EVGA because I can have it all at a much lower price with better service, without sacrificing anything.

The Classified K is $300. EVGA doesn't offer premium sound on it's FTW K version, they just use basic realtek chip. Where is this "higher component quality" over ASUS, GIGABYTE and MSI. If EVGA motherboards are so much better, why do they have such a small market share, why don't we see them offering more versions. ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI and even ASROCK, they all have reinforced PCI-E slots, why don't we see that kind of feature on EVGA motherboards. Where is the low quality components on ASUS Z270 HERO motherboards ($229) and you can purchase it today.

Guess "you" need to re-read the specs and re-compare motherboards and reviews, I have. They have a smaller market share because they haven't always just made just motherboards alone and are still progressing forward....doesn't mean what they have isnt just as good or better than other mobo's. Not going to waste my time nit picking a few new but minor asthetic things different on those other boards. It certainly isnt going to make the better performance main hardware components less on the EVGA boards. See you purchased EVGA's GTX 1080, you must have had SOME knowledge of how good a quality their equipment actually IS or you'd have bought a MSI, Gigabyte or ASUS gpu!

As a modern motherboards no big quality difference. Previously, yes ... very mediocre decisions had. Now I'm a bit strange why there is such division size performance ? A lot of places have fiber optic bud no MB with optical LAN ?! And some branded computers are so misunderstanding ... It's like I'm still in socialism ..! I want to make my mb alone or with some maniac :)

Unfortunately an mATX version of the board is unlikely; we do, however, have the mITX Stinger which is designed for small cases.

"Eine Lieferbarkeit wird zu Preisen von 449,90 Euro (Z270 Classified K), 329,90 Euro (Z270 FTW K) und 249,90 Euro (Z270 Stinger) für den 31. Januar vorausgesagt. Ob die allein von einem Händler genannte Preisgestaltung mit der Verfügbarkeit auch in anderen Shops Bestand hat, ist fragwürdig" Very good price in Europe ...

I have checked out specs for EVGA, ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI Z270 motherboards in the $250 price range. I noticed EVGA is using old Realtek ALC1150 audio chip on it's FTW K and Stinger motherboards. ASUS, GIGABYTE and MSI in the same price range, are using better audio chip's and software. Can you point out the "higher components quality" on evga motherboards over it's competitors. Maybe i overlooked something. I have no real issues about EVGA GPU's. They seem to put more effort into them over other products they sell. I bet all the Z270 motherboards in $200-250 price range will overclock within a few mhz of each other, which means no real world difference in performance. Mobo mfg need to focus on other areas of the motherboard to stand out. Premium onboard audio Audio software with more features Upgradable OP-AMP Wi-Fi+bluetooth onboard 3D mounting spots (makes customizing/personalizing a motherboard easier) RGB lights RGB Headers Just a number of features we see from the top 3 motherboard mfg ($200-250 price).

Wait.. I thought the Z270 line wasn't available until end of January, according to Jacob just a week ago??? Holy crap EVGA... and then the AIO Titan cooler was supposed to be out last year, now it might now be until late February at soonest "maybe". They're all over the place with their dates - who is their Production Planner? Do they even have one???? edit: maybe you got lucky - all EVGA Z270 boards just have auto-notify option atm.

Also, if you can't find the 960PRO anywhere, the 960EVO is only slightly slower but ~$100 cheaper for the 500GB model. 960PRO max read 3500MB/s 960PRO max write 2100MB/s 500GB model ~$370 960EVO max read 3200MB/s 960EVO max write 1900MB/s 500GB model ~$270

Thanks, I will have to consider an EVO if available. Those speeds arnt anything for me to wait out the difference for. Its going to be an OS drive, with light programs installed. My games are on a raided Samsung Evo 850 1TB setup. Older games are on a 1TB WD Black. Wonder how Intel's Optane memory is going to benefit the system as a whole. If I understand it correctly, your drives will have access to 16 or 32GB of cache that's almost as a fast as GDDR5 RAM ? So its like what Samsung magician does with your systems RAM. It sets aside a few GB and uses it for cache. Except Intel will do this directly with hardware, without the need of 3rd party software.

Wonder what (if any) compatibility issues might arise with Optane and SSD... wouldn't surprise me if Intel cripple it somehow so Intel SSD drives work better than others.

If it's a Z170 motherboard, you need the Z170 BIOS 2.0 (Beta) which has support for the Kaby Lake i7-7700k chips. for Windows 7 64bit [ link] for Windows 10 64bit [ link] or just go via the download center, select motherboard tab, etc. etc. The Z270 BIOS are not available there yet, but they are for Z270 motherboard, not Z170. You need the links above to make a Kaby Lake processor work on a Z170 motherboard. Good luck - I'm heading to bed. :)

Good afternoon, Carlos Duque. ? I inform that we already did the update of Bios in the board, but there are some small problems with the same one. The bios is not at all stable because it is a beta version, the machine starts but sometimes the errors. I do not know how you want to do it? Thank you.
