Let me start by saying I'm a long-time supporter of EVGA. I've owned nine EVGA GPUs (RIP) and both of our gaming PCs have an EVGA PSU in them.

I'm also a PC gaming enthusiast and I will continue to buy GPUs with or without EVGA in the market. With that said, I want to support a company that has excellent customer service and quality products.

With the introduction of the 4000 series from Nvidia, it is now a great time to upgrade a PSU. When is EVGA going to have something on the market to compete with other PSU manufacturers supporting the new standard? I am specifically looking for a 1200w ATX 3.0 80 Plus Platinum PSU with PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR connector.

Can EVGA afford to fall behind in the PSU market when this is now one of their main sources of revenue?

This question has been asked for quite a while now, and there are a few threads about it. So far EVGA hasn’t released anything publicly about the new PSU’s.

We all have to buy new GPUs...

If I remember correctly they said they will move on with PSUs. In that case, it wouldn't make sense, to ignore standards. But the whole stunt is a weird story. I'm sorry for the graphic branch of EVGA, especially the people behind.

I saw the other threads. I guess this is just another post to support the idea that we will continue to buy EVGA if EVGA continues to innovate in the markets they are in.

I also am a long time supporter of EVGA. I always get their GPUs (RIP sigh) and I get their PSUs as they are ultra high quality and last forever.

And I am in the same boat. I would love a 1200 Watt ATX 3.0 Platinum or Titanium EVGA PSU.
My current PSU is 8 years old (850 watt EVGA gold) its time!!!

    Come on EVGA. Lets go.

I feel like they are gonna pull it out any day now. As huge rebates going on with their current PSU's makes me think they are trying to get rid of the old stock before they release the new stuff!

It's concerning to me that EVGA had proof of concept gpu's from nvidia so they knew that a new PSU would be able to sell in the new market where 12VHPWR and ATX 3.0 are things.
Several manufacturers in the PSU segment (some that aren't in the GPU segment) have already announced their upcoming products and EVGA leaves us in the dark.

C'mon EVGA, many here still love your brand and want to support whatever you're offering, but we have limits too.

How about a simple cable adapter. Surely EVGA can at least give us a silly little adapter, don't let the aftermarket people win, this is YOUR product EVGA, not theres!

Wow just crazy how eVGA turn from the best brand to something to avoid... Just crazy.
"Your EVGA Product #19"  i have at least 19 products and i de register at least few in the recent years after i sold them to other people.  very loyal customer to eVGA. I was really hoping my EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 G2 will get cable from eVGA , apparently they decided to go out of business completely. So sad!

I don't wanna be all tin foil hat type of person, but something tells me they wont want to release a PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Connector so they can sell the new Power Supplies now that they will no longer sell GPUs. Hope I'm Wrong, as I own only EVGA PSU's and that would make me decided if I buy another one from them.

While I don’t know what EVGA is going to do in the future I would think that if they did release an adapter it would have to be fully compatible with all vendors not just NVIDIA cards. It might also be EVGA is waiting to see how the 4090 do with the power demand that they have.

Yah thats not the way to treat loyal customers. So in my mind eVGA is committing suicide. I already made up my mind that i wont buy another eVGA PSU. To be honest i doubt ill ever buy another eVGA product and they forced me to make this choice. If you check my post above i've been spending money on evga products for a very very long time.

if they are not releasing 12VHPWR adapter like other PSU brands, then its time to switch. its that simple.

Really with NVIDIA adaptors burning out I would rather have EVGA make a product that lasts longer than 10 days.

I don’t want that to sound like a cheap shot at NVIDIA but more of a truth that if cables are burning out a problem needs to be solved.

Yeah just got my evga cabel from cablemod. To be honest, i dont think ill ever buy anything from eVGA, they can cancel product lines on the wimp of their CEO  if his feelings get hurt or for whatever weird reason he can come up.
I spend easily over 14K on evga products since the very beginning, numerous SLI Nvidia card combinations Classified motherboards etc... But the whole nvidia fiasco gave me very bitter taste in my mouth. And my friends who we build our computers have the same feelings as well.
Its been forever and they didnt even bother to say: Hey we'll have cabel for you in 2 weeks/4 weeks etc.

Yeah evga is going down  really fast and its sad to watch such a great company dying.

Yeah, Ive spent over $10,000 on EVGA products and the one comment I logged in to make is Thank God I went Unify-X on my z690 instead of the EVGA Kingpin i thirsted for for months awaiting them to finally release the damn thing.

I have a 1200w Superflower P3 and they won't even answer the question of if they are going to make a cable for us. Hell, them getting out of the game and refusing to put out even a message about the 12vhpwr cable tells my tin-foil-hat that they knew this was going to be a show.

What a shame. If I owned their stock I'd sue that thin-skinned CEO.

Private companies can have stock.  All that info is filed with the Secretary of State. EVGA has a small board and you can look up all that info, but I doubt that any equity holders would have any disagreements with Mr. Hans decision.

LOL, "small board" and owner/CEO are watching a company in free fall.
By running behand in every bit of production, it is hard to see a future for once great company.
Last year was great - EVGA peak revenue around 78 million. I can't even imagine numbers for this year.

Replacing Precision X1 with Riva Tuner was almost like EVGA burial for me. When MSI 480 arrive next week, it will rip of the last contact with EVGA GPUs.

Yes, we are making a cable for ATX 2.XX power supplies.  Yes, we're also following along with the news and developments of these connectors to make sure it gets made properly.

When MSI 480 arrive next week, it will rip of the last contact with EVGA GPUs.

i guess im not in a rush until i can get my hands on a 4090 anyways, seeing as they are sold out everywhere, but an update would be nice i would rather get the new 3.0 and i would rather get evga. if i manage to grab a 4090 before evga releases or even announces their next product i may have to make some hard choices.

I agree though with LeeM they the goal is to make it properly instead of quickly. In six months nobody will care what PSU was first on the market what people will care about is the quality and reputation of the company that makes the PSU’s out on the market at that time.
