Congratulations! I guess not a lot of folks want to loop-de-loop in June 2021...I am glad folks are self-selecting out of the running...loops aren't for everybody (especially parents buying gpus for their kids).  There is some extra work and maintenance that goes into it. 

I mean we don't have to go the custom route on the hc cards. Can't we just remove the waterblock and buy hybrid kits for them? Sell the waterblocks on eBay or something to recoup costs somewhat.

don't sell the stock waterblock. if you want a warranty it has to be returned with the original cooler installed. 

Oh okay thought the warranty was still valid on them if you put the hybrid cooler on them instead.

unless they have a LOT of these HC cards available (which they never do) I wouldn't count on it. there are a lot of people reporting (and many more not reporting) with sub 6:01 times. i think this queue is going to crawl second by second.

Agreed. I could see multiple days where we get the same 00:16 report...where the queue doesn't even move a full second. It has the high likelihood of getting s-a-l-t-y....

I signed up in order of what card I wanted most. and from the other threads I have seen A LOT of people are asking "what is a HC" and "can i use it without water" I really hope those people remove themselves from the queue after figuring out what they need to do. That way we don't have to wait days for their 8 hour window to run out. I don't see much of a reseller/scalp market on these. Also I can't see miners wanting the cards unless they have stock coolers at the ready. I like most people was really hoping for a 3080ti and I am about 5 min off for that queue.

I really hope folks think twice before they buy a HC...it requires a lot more effort and planning and, I would argue, sophistication about water-cooling.  If you are a parent buying a card for your child, please think five times before buying an HC. They are an enthusiast card and not for the faint of heart...or novice.
