I hear you Burton. I definitely did ask myself a few times "Do I really want to build a whole new computer or take my rig offline for the time needed?" -- of course, then I got excited about building a whole new computer to do a custom loop for the first time :(
Next time though, my current rig will last me quite a while.
Couldn't you take off the water block and replace it with the standalone hybrid kit? that was my idea for a last ditch effort.
Great point -- if I get a fan cooled FTW3 (which should be likely) I could always get the hydro kit and switch to a loop that way... hmmm.

i will reach 100 forum post just writing how EVGA is unfair with EU people compared to NA, so i can subscribe to elite member and get nothing because im from EU
EVGA is based in NA. If they were based in the EU it would be the opposite. Just the way it goes.

Yeah, I'd expect some movement... backwards my friend. You're probably not gonna see any cards (from yesterdays drop) for a couple weeks/months if you're above 50 in the queue.

Forgetting the argument about buying a nice card and giving it a a non-performance cooler... would these coolers be compatible/feasible? I'm pretty low on the copper 3080Ti from yesterday... but don't have a water-cooled build yet. However, I've always considered it. However, if I can save some money in the meantime... the hybrids seem like a great option.

AFAIK, 3080 ti FTW3 HC cards were included in the launch shipment, as well as the shipment last Friday (1:28 of movement from the former to the latter). Jacob's hesitancy on 3090 HC info isn't the best news, but I'm here hoping that we don't see a repeat of the 3080 HC just up and disappearing. Someone with a Twitter account should bug him about next expected shipment for all the different HC SKUs.

I wouldn't be scared! The hook-up process (if you do flexible cables at least) is wicked easy. I helped a friend do it before... and it's wicked fun. But the maintenance is something to consider. I'm more scared of the cost XD haaha. I'm just not sure of how the process works for GPUs... since I worked with my buddy on a CPU block. I assume EVGA makes the hybrid coolers compatible for every single card stated in the title... but it's a bit odd to take a water block off to hook in another water block. SO not sure if they're for non-HC cards.

If you're already dropping $1500 on a HC 3080 ti you can complete a GPU only open loop for not too much more. Pump/Res, soft tubing, fittings, radiator, and fans would run only (relative to the GPU cost, lol) $300-$400. If you enjoy PC building it's a great time and you get amazing cooling on your GPU.

Going full loop(y) is not cheap. But it can pay dividends in cooling long term. dalab

Some folks started a web page that purports to show you your position, but it is based on self-reported entries only so is arguably unreliable. Folks claiming to be in 39th position could be in 339th or 1039th or even 9039th but I guarantee you that they are not in 39th. Wolfwood83
