Hey all I have a n00b question. Earlier this month, I queued up for the 3080ti Hydro Copper XC3 Ultra (12G-P5-3959-KR) thinking less people have custom water loops, and the fan-cooled SKUs are more desirable for miners. Was the last 3080ti Hydro Copper 12G-P5-3959-KR to ship back in June (6/15)? According to enewt's spreadsheet, that appears to be the case, but I'm still wrapping my head around this crisis. Does anyone have insight regarding that SKU specifically? Does this mean, I could be waiting an EXTRA long time since my queue for that GPU hasn't moved since 3 months before I even got in line?

yes they don't make alot of the hydro copper cards. Your best bet may be getting elite status and working up if you don't already have it. Then queuing for the super refresh as any que started about right now is in for quite a long wait

It also doesn't help a bunch of tools in here were queuing for the HC cards with the intention of pulling the block off and putting a hybrid cooler on it.

its not that the last card shipped out on 6/15 but rather the last person to get notified was someone that queued at 06/15/2021 10:29:10am. That person was notified I think last week when some of those cards dropped. But in either case, yes you will most likely be waiting quite a long time. I entered the queue for the 3969 on 6/3 8:00:16am and im still waiting. Granted Im roughly 5 minutes away now but that could easily be another month or two.

How do you know that you're 5 minutes away? Even though it sounds like it's a useless metric lol

Not sure if I'm going to buy it... I really wanted an RTX 3080 rather than a Ti, and I'm not thrilled about spending $2000CAD on a GPU. I had the chance to buy this at MSRP from a retail store a while back and decided against it, hoping that some 3080s would show up soon, but since then stock has totally dried up again. I'll have to think about it overnight.

Congratulations on the invite.  It is a tough call.  For me, my life outside of the outdoors (Narrator: I saw what you did there) is gaming (and family) [and gaming with family (Narrator: a family that games together, teaba...er...(yells offstage) "cut me off!")]...so I tend to find ways to justify expensive components and too many game purchases.

So that means 3 months of people queuing are essentially ahead of me, and we (I, the queue'r) have no clue how many people are between that person and myself. It could be 5 people or 5000.

The 3959 is still on 6/15 and it reopened the queue on 6/15, so in essence it has moved a grand total of ~1.5 hours in just over three months. Your 9/14 registration timestamp is months and months away from being reached. I am sorry I don't have better news.

So one of my older brothers is the DM of our weekly D&D campaign. He is a great guy and we are very tight. However, when I was younger, his 9 years of seniority meant that I got manhandled by him a LOT. One of my eyebrows (please keep your suspension of disbelief going...amphibians can have eyebrows in the world of queues) still bears the scar of a literal rug (actually it was a bed sheet) being pulled out from under me while I was a toddler. Four stitches worth. So, despite our true, deep and unending love for each other, I continue to try to wound him whenever possible; it is what competitive brothers do. The latest...this past Sunday when my (piss poor) Arsenal defeated his Toilet Bowl Hotspurs 3-1 in a North London Derby.  We watched it "virtually together" with an open Facetime channel and, around the enewt pond, it was a glorious match.
 
Predictably, a few hours later, my Zoom background for the Sunday afternoon D&D session was not my typical mystical country side + northern lights background offered by Zoom in their default collection, but rather a zoomed in (yes, pun intended) screenshot of the EPL table that revealed Arsenal ahead of Tottenham in the standings. 
 
I did have to make some usually disadvantaged saving throws over the course of the session...but it was worth it. 
 
 
 
Not sure what made me think of that...except that my EPL fantasy team has been weighing on my mind. When I don't have a current generation GPU to play games, pen & paper and stressing about fantasy sports are my go to coping mechanisms.... 
 
In other news, the camels delivered for a good number of folks today...but for the rest...our wait continues. I've asked EVGA_JacobF to look between the couch cushions for any K|NGP|Ns as well, but I don't hold out much hope that he will find any there....
