3080 Strix was $1100 usd on NE Shuffle today. 3080 Ti Strix are like $1900-$2000. Unless you're in the que coming right up, or can camp out somewhere, you have no chance of getting a 3080 FTW3 LHR for under $1400 new. The Ti is noticeably more powerful on 4K120 VRR.
Unfortunately, NewEgg doesn’t do a shuffle in Canada. The only thing they’ve offered for the past year is third-party sellers charging double MSRP. The only retailer I’ve seen with any 3000-series cards has been Canada Computers. They had a bit of 3080 Ti stock for a couple weeks in the summer. I passed up that chance in hopes that 3080s would come soon, but I’ve never seen one at list price. After a year of barely-moving queues (I stupidly only queued for the 3080 XC3 models), I’m relieved to be finished with that, and I’m looking forward to getting my 3080 Ti. Enewt‘s associate code paid for the shipping, and the Canadian dollar exchange rate is pretty good right now, so this card came out a little cheaper than it would have been at Canadian retail prices.

Finally got a 3070TI for just above MSRP off of a Best Buy drop yesterday. Probably staying in the EVGA queue for the time being to secure a card for family, but tbh doesn't look like 3783 (my time 6:30:50) will be moving for a while. Wish I could have gotten an EVGA card, but glad my wait is over :)

So uhm, I know I probably shouldn't ask this question here but I'm kind of nervous to ask anywhere else.. So I just got my 3070 ti and I noticed it didn't come with a retention bracket. Is this something I should be concerned about? Will it be able to hold on its own if I retain it in the standard fashion or will it do damage to the Mobo over time? The Case I've got is a Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case and my mobo is a ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI). Again really nervous here, any thoughts would be appreciated and again sorry for posting here, I was just really happy with the positive feedback from this thread last time.

GPU support brackets are not expensive and you can find some here: Amazon.com/gpu-support-bracket/. I can only answer for myself, if I wasn't vertical mounting, I would use one. Modern cards are heavier and support brackets are cheap insurance.

Let me just say that the fact that Uber does not have a live chat, automated chat, or any immediate Help offering for riders (there is a 1-800 number for drivers) is SUPREMELY irritating and disappointing. I inadvertently used the "business" profile on my uber account instead of my "personal" one, so I was unable to use the voucher the repair center had sent me for the trip. I haven't taken an uber ride in more than a year, so the new Uber app and gui confused this old, undercaffeinated amphibian. In any case, we move on...with some bad news... copper and NVIDIA supply remains ridiculously low. And don't start with "its always darkest before the dawn"...tell that to tadpoles that don't know that bubbles float to the surface. Best of luck! Got my email Monday for the RTX 3080 FTW 3 Ultra. It shipped and is scheduled to arrive Friday! I joined the wait list 10/6/2020.
Wish I had known about the associate code thing, I def would have used your code enewt. IDK what you get for me registering it using the link on your google docs page, but when I do I'll register through that link.
Edit: Just curious, how in the world do I change my signature (the part with my system specs), cant find it anywhere.

The 3897KL SKU is showing some healthy movement. Correct me if I’m wrong but 10/6/2020 is when the queue system got announced or something right? I wonder if we’re past the top of the spike in signups yet…
Announced around 7:27 pm on 10/5. A few media reports dropped late 10/5, but most hit on 10/6. 10/6 will be a bit slower as folks started learning about the queue. I would expect the evening of 10/7 to pick up speed for the 3897. intelfactor

Apparently with all my queues I should have jumped on the more expensive cards. I dunno but I'm so close on like 3 or 4 queues but those haven't moved in months or nobody has reported it. Like did they say Screw Hybrids, 3080 ftw3, my 3080ti are moving but i didn't hit queue till 2 pm lol. Haven't seen much on 3883 and 3881 less then a day on those too.
