And if you need to post a link, put a space between the https:// part of the URL and the rest of it, or put spaces in your link such as https:// forums. evga. com.

It's kind of a surprise to see it burning out like that after it's been working the whole warranty window. Normally electronics burn out like that pretty quickly if a chip is bad. Of course it can happen and it does suck when it does.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

Some select cards have a timer programmed into the VBIOS causing them to burn up soon after the warranty has expired.

     No, seriously..That's major suckage.

The new NVIDIA Ampere 30-series cards are coming out in a few months, hopefully.

Yeah was planing to upgrade when the 30 series came out. Now I’m forced to replace the card now which is terrible timing. I’m not sure what to do. Buying a 20 series card a few months before 30 series launches feels like a waste of money.

One of my options is buying a 2060 which should be slightly better performance than what I had to tie me over till I can get my hands on a 30series. Or just go for like a 2080 super and hold onto it for a while.

It's one of the memory power stages (one of two) on the other side which burnt up.  Burnt all the way to the other side.

Unfortunately, it happens a lot more often than you may have expected.

Not much you can do besides giving it to your e-waste collector, or sell it on eBay as a non-functioning parts board.

You could try cutting out the damage and see if it will run on only one memory power stage, but that is pretty desperate, the memory stability would probably be affected, and the one remaining memory power stage would probably overheat and similarly burn up in short order.

You could probably find a better deal with AMD, just to get you through.
