I have been looking at Vizio p602ui-b3 due to 4 Gpu + 2 cpu processors. I was talking to a guy at staples he said he has his hooked up on side HDMI input only way to get . Any one have any input on tv?If anyone owns one or different size could give me there opinions thanks. I have LG 55 1080 and usually go with known brand looking to upgrade then I will get my second 980 FTW..
i have the p652ui-b2, i went to best buy when they had it on sale just to look. they had an open box right there next to the register, still had all the wrap around the tv, remote and stand. they got me good, ending walking out with it since it was $1350 out the door.
now that i got my deal off my chest, my opinion on the tv. (note i do not have a graphics card that has hdmi 2.0 yet. and i came from a high end Sony 55hx800 (240hz, 3d)
1) it is an amazing quality tv. blacks are getting to plasma level. the 64 black zones helps a lot too. no light bleed on dark scenes (use avs forum to find detailed picture settings)
2) i dont know if its accurate, but my nvidia control panel lets me select 4k at 60hz from a gtx 660 SLI.
2b) it has been said that the Vizio does not support chroma 4:4:4 at 4k 60hz, some LG's do. this means that when you do have 4k at 60hz the text will not be as sharp since it displays 4:2:0 (think of it as 4:4:4 the tv is disaplaying each and every individual pixel, but 4:2:0 it has to combine some pixels to handle the bitrate). when i put my tv to 60hx 4k i did NOT notice a difference in text quality, but again i have a 660 which isnt hdmi 2.0. i do use my tv as a monitor as well.
2c) so 1 of 2 things you can do. 1) leave it at 4k at 30hz if you are using it for a monitor, then change it to 60hz for gaming (if you have the GPU power to take advantage of 60fps at 4k, many people dont anyways.)
3) Vizio has been great with updates. bought the tv mid January. since then i have had 3 updates
4) yes, there is only 1 HDMI 2.0 input. i figure in a couple years when i have multiple devices that have hdmi 2.0 i will be able to find a receiver/switch to split it.
4b) pretty much all new 4k tv's have multiple hdmi ports all with different specs which is annoying. i dont know of a single 4k tv that all its hdmi ports are 2.0 (maybe the latest most expensive tv's)
5) i timed it to about 50 seconds from hitting the power button to an amazon prime video playing. (which is fast compared to some older vizios that took a while just to turn on.
6) it uses a lot of power. where some other brands have a estimated yearly cost of $30, the vizio is double (but still in the average range for tv's its size. probably due to all that GPU CPU power
7) yes the LG has 4:4:4, but the vizio has extremely better input lag. game mode on input 5 i think gets to 17ms, compared to 50ms on many other 4k tvs.
all in all i am very happy with my choice, even coming from what I consider a higher end model of a better brand (granted it is 4-5 year old tv)
bottom line, buy it!
side note, the 55. 60 and 70 use a different panels then the 65. the 65 has been recommended if you want better blacks, the others i believe have better viewing angles which would come in handy in a room with a wider seating area.
