Hello,
I purchased an EVGA Geforce RTX 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming graphics card from amazon 2-3 months ago and it has been working great. In the last couple weeks, my monitors would lose signal and go black while the computer would remain on. I would hear fans ramp up inside the case and I would have to turn off my computer and turn it back on to get a signal to my monitors. I downloaded EVGA Precision X1 to monitor my gpu temps. When idle, my card reads 48 - 51 C. When playing games, the hottest it gets is high 70s C. I know it is not an issue with my CPU overheating. If it is an issue with my GPU overheating, then I planned to install a water block from EVGA. Does this sound like an issue with my GPU overheating? What typically happens when your cards overheats? Could it just shut down and the fans would loudly spin? Thanks

70c isn't overheating at all. When monitors lose signal, and your gpu fans spin up to max speed that usually means the card is experiencing a power issue.

Try reseating the card to the motherboard.
Try running the card in another pci-e slot.
Try powering the card with a different set of pci-e power cables.

Note: You should be powering your card with two separate pci-e power cables instead of a single pci-e cable that splits into dual 6+2's.

Check your nvidia drivers. nvidia put out a really bad driver in january (from my experience) and that lines up with your 3-4 month time frame from purchase. If you need help figuring out how to update your driver it can be googled easily. Hope that helps. Your temps are fine and not causing black screens.
