I recently stuffed a 1080ti SC2 Hybrid in an AGA. Took it apart for some dusting today and decided to take the lid all the way off and set it on my computer table so i could observe the card and play with fan curves. Upon taking it apart cleaning and rearranging a few things i cut it on. After doing so i noticed the SC2 logo on the card does not light up at all. Is it suppose to? I tried to find some pictures of it installed in a system, but could'nt find a clear shot. Any help??

Well that comes with relief and a bit of disappointment. Relief that my card is functioning as intended. And disappointment because, I mean we already lost the rgb lighting for some reason. ( I mean it's not like its the most expensive card or anything... :| ) They could of atleast lighted the SC2 badge. Hrmmm...

But that aside. Props to Nvidia, and Evga for making such a nice performing and functioning card. Aside from the lack of lighting, this has been a very solid, well made, top performing card! Messed with it in Precision just a little bit and gave it a +52 +96 bump for it to end up at around 2012/5608 for daily oc. When gaming it stays in the mid to low 40's temp wise. Quiet and cold!!!

Off topic. I am a bit new to hybrid cards. I had the SC2 Hybrid, which was great. I was advised to mount the rad/pump downwards as this would make sure that water is always in contact with the pump. Also reduce the sound/air bubbles. I did notice a reduction in sound/air bubbles but is there any benefit to the pump lifespan? Waiting for the FTW3 Hybrid this week coming .

Running any pump dry is bad for the unit, water cools and lubricates the pump seals

Yes a bit bummed i did'nt wait for the FTW3 Hybrid, but i do believe that card is to big for my setup if i ever wanted to run the Graphics amplifier all closed up. It closes up nice now with SC2, Snug, but fits very nicely. As far as i know and have learned over the years, air running thru a pump is bad and degrades lifespan. So less noise and less air bubbles means better efficency and longer lifespan of the components of the pump. Here's a pic of my small laptop gaming setup.
